You have to ask yourself, if ever you’ve used a cotton bud, just how you jam one in your lug. You push it a touch too far it hurts, so how you lose a complete one is beyond all understanding of the pain barrier, this may also explain how we’ve got more casualties than Rourke’s Drift.

It always falls on deaf ears if you recommend a couple of drops of olive oil.
