Do the Masons really have a unique handshake these days and if so how does it go?

Met a few people recently who shook my hand with no palm contact and kind of just gripped my fingers with thumb one side and fingers on the other side and shook. Very effeminate almost.

That was my first thought but he shook our lasses hand in the normal fashion.

Thumb over the top or down between the knuckles is one to look out for.

Order of hierarchy depending on placement.

Last one I met sort of scratched my palm with a finger nail. When I looked afterwards it had lots of tiny marks that looked like somebody had scraped 666 on there with a pin. Bit obvious for a 'secret' handshake.
