1. After a number of years of failure on the pitch why have only two regular first-teamers been released. Why not more?
2. Why have players who have made little impact for a number of seasons not been released?
3. Are we moving into an era of a smaller playing staff augmented by a number of loans?
4. How does CC intend to get players who have been inconsistent this season to perform better next season?
5. What positions are the club looking to fill? How many new faces are there likely to be by the start of the season?
6. How can we rekindle the spirit that saw us punch above our weight for a number of years?
7. Are we looking to sign permanently any of the players we have had on loan?
8. When will we see new signings?
Such an interview would be much more interesting than the usual season review videos and links to what happened xx years ago. Perhaps someone with closer links to the club or on the supporters panel could suggest it.

That little shit signed my team, when he was 17, and attended our first training session on the sand dunes.
The 'lovely lovely person' then went and signed for someone else and let us down badly.
Never did forgive him.

You see, this sort of logic doesnt make sense to me.
Do you have an irrational fear that you might be missing out on something?
What if we sign no one, Cooper leaves, and we get a yes man running the show, and we tumble towards the conference? Its hardly a good deal then, is it?
If, on the otherhand, we do REALLY well, and are going for promotion, or the play offs, and you didnt get a season ticket, then £20 a fortnight admission is hardly going to break the bank is it?
The £20 ticket is hugely over priced as we stand, but if we are going for promotion then most would pay it.
People get ever so protective of the season ticket ticket.

"when I entered the ward I was shocked to see her in full traction but I explained as I give here a bunch of grapes 'sorry Nana but the ball was there to be won. Anyway it was shortly after that I nearly turned my back on the game altogether I signed for a junior team and the coach who fancied myself as local footballs answer to Pep Guardiol. He didn't like slide tackles especially my interpretation of them anyway (I know crazy) and used to punish me. He used to make me run up and down the sand dunes at Seaton while he sat in his car. The only rest bite I used to get was when the fat bastard used to send me back to burger land for another hot dog or piece of candy floss. One day I just kept running and it was a chance meeting with Joe Royle who was leaving the Staincliffe that not only saved my football career but possibly my life"

Yes, god yes, what a horrible player.
A lot of teams that win regularly need a 'horrible player' or two I'd say it's something we've been missing for a number of years. Especially one who's as good a footballer as him.
He'll aways have my respect as if you look at his career in the 600 plus career appearances they've all been in the top two divisions for clubs as big as Man City and Spurs apart from 6 games for Hartlepool United who as a Premier League player he came and helped keep his home town club in the football league. So he'll never be a horrible player in my eyes. He's a lad from the Town who's had an excellent career.
I'm not saying the rumour is true or he'd even consider finishing his career in League Two but he's possibly exactly the type of character we need to help us win more matches.

Nothing to do with the performances for me, I go when I'm not working and might only be able to make 8 or 9 home games. It still works out cheaper for me to buy a ST than pay on the day so I'm stuck. The gap is so stupidly big I have no choice.

Aye, only once or twice I think.
He actually got hit in the eye and had to go to hospital shortly before he was due to join Man City if memory serves me right.
Actually I think Mr ElvisC's Dad took him to A&E and he was fearing the wrath of Joe Royal.

True story! When he was on loan at Pools, Browny and me Dad opened the batting for Hartlepool Seconds in an early season game at Park Drive. I'm NOT exaggerating here...Browny had 50 before me Dad had 4. He also ran the old feller ragged, running fours and taking quick singles, turning two's into VERY fast threes etc. Me Da was shagged out after 7 overs!! Outstanding cricketer and a player I'd drive to collect from Leeds every game if he signed for us.
phil wrote:If he asks for reasonable wages, Brown could be a good signing. You would think that playing for his home town club would keep him in the right frame of mind, and he certainly offers a lot of experience to what I assume will be a youthful squad.
parmo wrote:no chance whatsoever of signing Brown when we have just got rid of players who earned the most money at Pools!!!
Larsen is struggling to stay out of jail and to be honest I'll be amazed if we're still a league club in 3 or 4 years !!!

Yes, we are definitely swimming against the tide, resetting expectations back to the old days where not going down was seen as success
