Just seen the highlights now from the game.

They didn't show the off the ball incident that resulted in Hartley being sent off because it was off camera.

How could the cameras show it if it was off camera?

Well, cameras today aren't static, they can be turned around, but it seems the cameraman was too slow in catching what happened.

Surely that would result in a shot of the camera mans face?

I'm not sure that would shed any light into the incident to be honest.

surely the cameraman cant be at fault here, there is only one camera at pools from the Cyrill, his job is to follow the ball and the action, this incident happened off the ball, its not sky you know were there are about 20 different cameras all over the ground.

I was there on Saturday and I didnt even seen it.

I'm not expecting it to be Sky.

Does anyone know exactly far the incident was from the referee calling Hartley over to sending him off?

At one stage a Pools player made a great off the ball run, or someone must off, but the camera missed that as well. rolfl rolfl

No i forgot to take my tape measure to the match, you are expecting it to be sky when complaining about the bloke who is doing the job he is paid for, ie follow the action, not picking up on an off the ball incident that half the people in the ground missed.

But it's 2010: with all this technology around, I think incidents like this should really be picked up.

Within 113 yards maximum. The length of Pools' pitch if Hartley was on one goal line and the referee was a little behind play being on the other goal line. Or alternately 77yards if Hartley was on one touchline and the referee on the other. Or a matter of inches.

There's a hell of a lot of CCTV technology about and that still manages to miss muggers/ robbers and other scum bags doing illegal activities. So what's your point?? I would rather that was picked up.
