Thought the commentators both volunteers did a good job and were unbiased throughout.

Might turn out to be the next Nico Muir, but if Pools take a punt on a striker from the part-time leagues they could do worse than Ruben Bartlett-Antwi.

I think Niko Muir got unlucky with timing, dickie Dosh era and all that, I thought he was pretty decent.
As for Bartlett -Antwi, two goals in two games is promising and the fact he's had league one teams monitoring him suggests he's got something. A few articles mentioning him as a low risk high reward signing. Could well be worth a punt.

Nico is still playing, but turning out for Pools in the NL was as high as he went, so I'm not sure how unlucky he was.

Bartlett-Antwi is bigger, stronger and quicker that Muir by the look of a clip of his goals last season on X. Whether he'd be as confident in front of goal at a higher level than the Dog and Duck (Isthmian League) is the $64,000 question, as ever.

Personally I've never forgiven John Borthwick for being a dunce for Pools and a goal machine for Darlo.

A good point although the meteoric rise of Mike Fondop Tallum from a Pools laughing stock to a promotion winning goal scorer and club talisman is hard to top.

I'm going against the grain here, but I always rated John Borthwick, he was technically better than the team he was in, if that makes sense. A Hartlepool teddy sheringham if you will lol

Goal machine for the loids-that's a bit strong isn't it?! I much preferred Andy 'Pixie' Toman- up until his two fingered salute after having a shocker.
