If we hadn't made such a point of missing all our penalties at the start of the season, all things being equal we'd have beaten Swindon and MkDonkeys and now be sitting in fourth place, three points above fifth and just one behind second.
We'd never have been lower than 16th, instead of our low point of 21st just after the Hereford deat.
We'd have spent 15 matches in the play-off places instead of 5.
And that's without counting the effect of any extra confidence we might have gained from that.

Somehow I think it would have placed a whole different perspective on the season so far.

At the end of the day three penalty misses have proved the only difference between an iffy first half of the season and an extremely promising one.
