I sold a load of stuff years back in a fit of conscience :roll:

then spent it all on more records...[then after regretting my religious mania downloaded all the albums back again whence i had t'internet...]*treble eye-roll*

I aint got nowt of any value i dont think, a few bootlegs aside

My copy of the first Beatles album, Please Please Me, belonged to my Nana who was really a big Sinatra fan but bought it because she liked the trousers! I got it from her when I was about 16. its a Stereo "Gold" Parlophone label (my Granda Jack had a really good Stereo System from the early 60's onwards...)and is worth £1000 in Mint nick, mines in Near Mint and would get £800-900 easily.

I've got original Mint copies of "See Emily Play" and "Arnold Layne" by the Floyd which are worth £40-50 each, some Postcard/Rough Trade singles that go for £35-40 mark every time (Ive got Metal Urbaines "Paris Marque" single, which is Rough Trade RT001..their first release), plus loads of Pop-Psych stuff from the late 60's like "Yellow Van" by Timebox and "Jenny Artichoke" by Kaliedoscope which is a £100 single.

My copy of (Ambrose)Slade's "Shape Of Things To Come" is also a regular £100 seller on e-bay.

Singles by The Fall sell for around a tenner and I've got 25-30 of those..Full Singles collections by Orange Juice, Early R.E.M., Waterboys etc all go well on ebay.

However this is all completely irrelevant, cos I'd never sell em!

Got shot of all my records a couple of years back, ebayed the better ones, charity shopped the rest. Some of them great, some of them awful. If I'd known this board then I would have listed them and given them away to anyone who wanted them, bit by bit.
The only record I had which was probably worth anything was the KLF album when they were known as the Jams. Included Whitney Joins the Jams, sampling I wanna dance with somebody. Amusing. Also samples Abba to which they took offence and they ended up taking back all copies and burning them, then deleting it.
Think was worth a couple of hundred about ten years back so would be worth more now - but my best friend got into hard drugs and sold my records when I was abroad, or about a hundred of the better ones.
Obviously I dont know him anymore.

I have the complete Clash vinyl collection,all bought on the day they were released,I guess thats my most valuable set of tunes,irrelevant though as theyre not for sale.
Probably my most valuable individual item is Joe Strummer & The Latino Rockabilly War "Earthquake Weather" on CD

I've got some white label promo stuff on 12" by The Verve on Hut Records. I've never played them so I don't know which tracks they are. I had some white label Oasis stuff but I sold them for about £30.

I own no music of any consequential financial value. I do however look at it the other way.

I have around 6000 illegally downloaded MP3's. There are approx 12 songs on an album. An album costs on average about a tenner. Therefore;

6000/12x10 =
£5000 saved.
