The Poolie Bunker

Why do we have to carry on with this farce…they want independence, get it, then they act like the the petulant student who never left home, surely this bus has gone past it’s stops and needs terminating.
Move on and ditch the excess baggage.

Ditch the lot including the Union with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Rejoin the EU as a net recipient rather than as a majority contributor, basically realise the irrelevance we already are in the World stage, nothing to encourage the booties, Happy Days.

These countries thousands of miles away will say thank you King Charles for your tax payers looking after us.

Now Fcuk off back to your own infested immigrant country.

It's all bollocks.

like many things its something from the past. our own little union to sell what we manufactured and to buy the produce they grew. thing is we do not manufacture anything but students and could buy most items from other countries. somebody though will be getting a good earner out of the commonwealth and civil servants dealing with it. anyway what would charlie 3 do with his tropical uniforms he loves to wear. write a new carry on called carry on dinghy where he could write a part for himself as a colonial idiot.

Forget the Brussel gravy train and give the independence shower in Wales and Scotland showers their wish, but with a proper border ….. a bit of barbed wire, minefields etc ….be a giggle when the money dries up then give them County Coincil status…..there, that’s that sorted.
Don’t tell me you approve of the Commonwealth …?

I believe in looking after your own first then helping others. Our philanthropic governments quite happily ignore the fact that it's not their money to give away it's ours!!

I can see the sense in having a trading block with Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Beyond that the Caribbean is just a tax haven for the rich isn't it? They could increase the tax rates as reparation.

That makes sense, a trading block, with Canada, Australia and New Zealand….but when places get their independence, they’re on their own…we have our own problems and Cheerful Andycap Burnham spraying our money out with gusto to all and sundry is beyond a joke.

always remember that if we were really in the shit and needed money the queue to give us any across the world would be very small with none who we are happy to give money to.

Answers requested. Why did the King visit the Carribean knowing full well they would all be whining on about slavery reperations? It was the same last year when Kate and her husband (cant remember his name) went there and were treated to protests and abuse. It is almost as if our shite government are deliberately raising the profile of the issue because after all, it is them who decide where the Royals go on their tours. Leave these countries alone for fecks sake instead of giving them a platform for their grifting.

My father (born in 1915) used to have a globe in his study, and this globe showed at least a quarter of the whole world in pink, ie belonged to our empire. I remember my father pointing this out to me numerous times when I was a young child.

This is how things were but obviously not now. The whole commonwealth thing now just seems silly to me, it’s meaningless surely, and if they have a vote to leave, then let them go.

I loved the Queen. As far as I was concerned she was up there with Victoria and Elizabeth 1 and my boss. Charles on the other hand makes George III look good. He's a twat, a woke twat and more importantly a twat.

He radiates weakness and acts more like a retired university Don concerned about things that are of no interest to the people of this country.

The Queens husband was more down to earth.
Remember on live TV talking to a 15 year old girl of South West Asian origin.
:It doesn't look like you come from Manchester followed by a little chuckle.

But he never got the Lucy Connelly treatment.

The Royal Family are not needed.
Bring nothing to our England and the English people.

The British Royal Family contributes a net economic benefit to the UK economy, with their recurring impact estimated at roughly £1.8 billion annually (with a standard net baseline of £958 million in years without massive marquee events like coronations or jubilees)
The Crown Estate Profits: The Crown Estate is a massive portfolio of lands, properties, and commercial seabeds worth billions. Under a long-standing agreement, 100% of its massive annual net profits (which reached a record £1.1 billion) are surrendered directly to the UK Treasury to fund public services

Is this (above) AI written?

No I made the figures up, how else do get info nowadays, you don’t believe them or want to believe them ?
Whats your estimates then ?

We live in a place where money is thrown about like confetti yet we’r3 supposed to be in the financial clarts.
We truly are living in cloud cuckoo land.

all the figures about what the monarchy brings into the country is over egged and what we actually get from them would be more if we had the property and finance they gave. we actually five them money as if they needed it. tourism is the biggest con to the public as we are not the top european destination and nobody asks tourists why they visit the uk. over the years even hartlepool would have ha its fair share of visitors coming for one thing to see where there family is from. possibly thats a far bigger draw than looking at a pile of stones canned a house or a glimpse of some royal git. up the republic.

The MSM always favour the Royals,i can’t think of one outlet TV or newspaper which ever slags them off but like politicians the Royals don’t know how the either have lives. The only one of the Royals who had a bit compassion was ‘killed off’.

we will never know why the msm act this way but feel there must be some unwritten law where they have to that could affect there money or broadcasting rights. you hear words that they do no harm and are only a figerhead. if only this was the real truth as i feel they have much more influence still than they should. altering the words or the national anthem itself would be a good way forward as i cannot think of any other where the lyrics were just mainly about a person and not the country as a whole.

It’s not the figures, it’s the way they’re written out. Like it’s a copy and paste job.
