Neither Pearson nor Rust are directors so not sure how much involvement if any they still have.

Rob Law on X said after the match the reporters gathered as usual to speak to Clark unaware that he was going to resign,. Rob extended his hand for a handshake as normal, Clark ignored it then said ‘I see the vultures have gathered’

The version I heard was that Clark asked for all of the press to attend a single conference, yes he quipped the vultures have gathered, then he gave his resignation speech and disappeared into his office without answering a question from Rob Law and without shaking his hand.
His resignation statement was in fairness measured and respectful and without any criticism of anyone connected with the club or the fans, although he did say it's not nice to hear the fans criticism for him or his family and friends. He did say he was sorry he couldn't deliver what we the great fans of the club wanted but at 56 years old he wasn't going to take the flak.
His tenure as manager was awful in the footballing front, but his resignation statement and the timing of it was very dug field and respectful imo.

Only repeating what Rob Law said on X, I think it will be on Tees tonight, as manager you have to be prepared to take flak although none of the flak Clark received was directed at his family. I would imagine if you had school age kids in Hartlepool it could be different though, one reason Sweeney wouldn’t take the job as I believe he lives in Hartlepool.

Maybe so but your context is not the same as Laws pieces with Radio Tees, there was no acrimony and he didn't criticise the fans for the flak, he simply said it wasn't nice for him or his family and friends and that he wasn't prepared to take anymore, fair do's imo. The flak doesn't have to be directed at family or friends for them to be upset to hear it.

Your off again PTID, can’t wait can you, why do you always challenge what I say, my comment related to what Rob Law said on X not the post match interview. From what I remember Clark said to the reporters in waiting straight after the game in the tunnel the vultures have gathered then said he had resigned didn’t shake Rob Laws hand when offered and went into his office refusing to answer questions. He returned later to do a post match interview, no idea what he said then or who it was with.

Nothing to do with it being you Jamie, it's about your interpretation of what Rob Law said about Clarks resignation isn't the same as what I heard him say? I listened to 2 of Rob Laws like es, and to Clarks resignation statement and I reckon it was pretty dignified and respectful, the only criticism was of himself for not being up to the job.
Have you had professional help with your paranoia btw?

‘Challenged’ ..a word used by JimBob when he knows he’s wrong but can never admit it….resulting in waffle.

I believe Rusty Lee is still robbing a wage from the club whilst the other cretinous arsehole who I hasten to add, represents himself and NOT the fanbase (as he'd have people believe) is STILL freeloading in the comfy seats. They BOTH should have been shipped out as soon as Landon turned up. They both need binning ASAP - Both conducted themselves appallingly during the later tenure of Raj's stewardship, serving themselves whilst openly condoning and defending the deplorably divisive behaviour of the previous owner.

They may have been in the Directors box but neither are listed as Directors in Companies House. Rust doesn't appear to have ever been registered as a Director and Pearson resigned when Landon bought the club.
Still not sure what if any influence either have around the place?

I read somewhere before the weekend that Clark was quoted as stating that he and the players 'deserved the flak' - presumably the flak that they received during the recent away defeats. Whatever Clark is he's not stupid and would have expected that a large number of home fans would turn ugly should the Worthing game also start to drift away.

He must also have increasingly realised - like many of us during the past six games - that the squad as it stands would struggle to get anywhere near a play-off place. Perhaps he was surprised at the standard of even the lowly placed NL outfits.

So, yes, all credit to Cark for resigning before he was sacked - thus saving the club the cost of paying him off - and also avoiding another negative event on his CV of course . If the fans made the difference in him resigning or not on Saturday then so much the better.

Why you poking your nose in Snowy ah a chance to put the boot in, if you care to listen to what Rob Law said on X when the press approached Clark straight after the game it confirms what I posted. There was the initial contact with Clark straight after the game no questions answered and he disappeared into his office. There was a post match interview later, check your facts before slagging me off.

You need professional help PTID with your obsession/fixatation with me is like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a car, your like a caged lion waiting to pounce on anything i post.
I will point out again there was Clark’s initial reaction when the media were waiting for him in the tunnel after the final whistle, he said ‘the vultures are waiting’ and disappeared into his office refusing to answer questions. A full press conference later was conducted with Rob Law of Tees, all the info is on X but as usual you just sound off before checking stuff out.

Deffo a 22 months job now to rebuild a better team from the new manager.
Proper end of season midfield clear out. And Bromby

But let's have fun in the FA Cup and win the FA Trophy to try and retain the fanbase for anutha stab at it next season.

Fully expect a few to think we can still win the league like or 7th.

UTP.

I was not putting the ‘boot in’..merely highlighting your tedious habit of never, ever admitting to being wrong by ignoring your own errors…on this board and others.
