Assuming he has a best friend, I wish his best friend would tell him.

I expect us 100% to win on Saturday.
It's only Worthing.

But fully agree with the Pools Fan on Radio Tees last night will just be a paper over the cracks result like the last home game.

We need Smithy to get on a plane and sort this mess out.
If he stays quiet over the pond then the blame game will eventually filter down to him.

Some tough fixtures on the way which Clarky obviously ain't good enough to get this Promotion Objective back on track.

Personally I've wrote the season off.
I don't live in Mickey Mouse World.

UTP.

I was at the audience with Jeff Stelling at the town hall last night, and he was asked about the manager situation. He said pools absolutely weren't looking for another manager.

Only Worthing eh?

They're above us in the table and have signed 4 new players so far this month - 3 of them for transfer fees! Bet they'll fancy their chances playing Pools.

I'll be at the game tomorrow along with most of the other suckers who bought season tickets. Don't know how the early kick off will affect the gate - my guess is 3,700 or so will turn up.

And it is bad news…..so how long and how bad do things have to get before reality steps in.
This is like buying a car and despite repeated trips to the garage to sort out a problem they assure you it’ll come good as it’s just teething troubles….but they would say that wouldn’t they, because it’s their label and you don’t rubbish your own brand….despite the steering wheel coming off in your hands every time you drive it.

In all fairness and professionalism I don’t think Jeff is going to announce that at a talk with Jeff is he in a position to tell us if the club is or isn’t looking for a new manager?

With all the hype pre season, expectations were high, but so was underestimating the opposition …and the opposition overestimating us…..and soon rumbled us.

Well those sort of questions will be asked given the circumstances and a neutral stance adopted would be the best response.

Totally agree, didn't for a minute think he'd tell us the truth of it, if there was anything happening. Just reporting back what he said.

Not a waste at all…reflecting a genuine concern…but, you have to let them know the fans are unhappy regardless of their reply.
You keep the question alive.

think anyone with just a passing interest in pools are unhappy and it will be hard to find a happy clapper anywhere away from those receiving payment from the club.

I take it as a ringing vote of confidence in the manager that all owners make until the day they sack em.

So we've 7 players definitely out for this game ATM, that's nearly a third of the squad, that's 2 suspended, 2 coming back from injury and 3 long term, struggling to cover central defence, and an inept midfield and forward line. Frustrated home fans.... Looking good for Worthing then.

Worthing have signed 13 new players, permanent signings and loan signings, who would have thought Pools would be playing a club from the south coast with an average attendance of 2500 ?

We've had a few under 2500.

Worthing are above us in the table and have scored 14 goals. They have conceded 14 as well but it seens they like to attack.

My point is how do they survive on the low attendance, they have just sighed 13 players even paying a fee for one, I am not making comparisons to the crowds Pools used to get and who had ever heard of Worthing.

Jamie, it’s easy how they survive…$ugar Daddy owners…this leagues is full of them…the gate money is irrelevant…the owner splashes his own cash.
When the owners disappears, so do the clubs….prospect wise anyway.

Landon Smith may or may not turn out to be a sugar daddy but I still believe that he is an honest guy and that he actually meant the good things that he said about the club, the fans and the town during the takeover process. He was always on the ball last season, often jetting across the pond at times when it appeared that everything was going tits up. It seems evident that the tits are going to flip at any time at present therefore I would not be surprised if he is in town tonight and preparing to make an appearance at the Vic tomorrow. We shall see.......

To be fair, some clubs with ‘benefactors’ are secure, but once a owner pulls out for whatever reason, such clubs find they can’t continue to compete and a truer picture of a clubs real level brings the back down to Earth with a bump.
Rushton and Diamonds were the poster boy for whom reality kicked in with a vengeance .

i,d also guess that their overheads are less than ours with less suits and assistants to pay for. then with them being a traditional non league club there is a good chance also that they have an army of unpaid volunteers to rely on. the lifeblood of the non league game but we,ll avoid that as it might look too non professional.

just shows the problems we have to face in this league. clus like them and hornchurch will be living the dream with fans with smiles on there faces as they are more than happy to be where they are. pools fans like a few others just cannot wait to kiss this league goodbye and never play in it again. always wonder if this attitude goes out on the pitch with the players as well.
