I confess I was always one of those who thought managers should be given a period to prove themselves, given the way the club was….of course it always ended in managerial chaos, but not unexpected given the atmosphere.
In this case, under the auspices of new ownership, everyone looked forward to a new dawn and I have no criticism of the owner …. so I can only assume the tradition of selecting in nautical terms, a ‘poor navigator’ was left over from the previous managerial stock, dusted down and given new batteries to carry on the traditional Kamikaze start to the season.
I have no other explanation.

problem was our new owner was saddled with a previous poor navigator who then made things worse by appointing someone worse. a person who was not that popular with the fans in the first place.

We got no choice but to give Smithy time.

A none win tonight and that league table should mean Clarkys time is done.

Very Pivitol game even at this early stage.
