Pools former media man, talks about his time at Pools & his present role at Spennymoor.
Having coming across this YouTube video, it seems to me as an outsider it would be obvious to try and tempt this man back to Pools.
As a Charlton fan i wished we had somebody like Mark working for us.

Wow. you could fit two of the new Simmo into the bloke who was co-presenting Switch of Play with Micky Barron a year or two back. Impressive!

As Pools seem to be looking for a new head of media could do a lot worse he was treat badly by Raj and the anecdote of his redundancy is proof of Raj's business skills or lack of and his tightness with the money. Him coming back would seem like a match made in heaven. Spectacular weight loss looked a different man only recognisable by his voice. There is also an episode with Robbie Stelling. Landon should watch this.

Last season I kept looking at the Spennymoor OS - like night and day compared to the Pools shambles. Simmo even did live match commentaries for them - he's good at that too!

Don't think he'd need a lot of convincing, judging by that interview.

Just watched the video, amazing, give him the job Pools, he obviously still loves the club and I know he'd do a great job again.

It's a case of.
He needs a football club more than a football club needs him.

We need to prioritise getting some decent players on the pitch.
Maybe we didn't sell enough STs to finance it.

agree. he was the voice of pools for years and has never been replaced. feel loving the club and been loved by fans was not something not to raj,s liking.

Listening to the full interview it doesn't sound all that likely that Simmo will be putting his name forward. Spenny made him Club Secretary a couple of years back and it seems that's the career path he would like to be on. He says club media relations is a young man's game these days.

Simmo's current job title is 'Club Secretary and Media & Communications Manager' and he has two Media Assistants. Sounds like Spenny have more staff than we do!

Definitely got his feet under the table at Spennymoor, no chance he would return to Pools, very bitter how he was treated by Singh eventually having to take him to court to get his redundancy money. I had to look twice, unrecognisable from his Pools days but looks better for it.
