Mr Smith you put Bromby and partners in charge of the daily running of the club in your absence, I can understand that. The natives are now getting restless about the lack of activity and being kept in the dark over any developments or transfer speculation. You are being given the good grace for saving our club. Please instruct Bromby and partners and Lee Clarke to do something to keep the supporters interested. They have wasted the cut price season tickets period were a marque signing would have boosted the sales significantly. Over to you Landon.

Can I suggest we just leave up to those in charge & hope & pray that they get it right ?
Can't imagine for one minute that they will take the slightest bit of notice of some Herbert on a fan's forum !

I'm waiting and seeing as I promised but the early bird discount is about to be removed and if it isn't extended I for one won't be even contemplating buying a season ticket and I'm not the only one. However Landon is the gaffer and I respect his right to do what he wants and when he wants to. My hand is not in his back pocket and his hand is not going into mine.
I am communicating my intentions quite clearly. I would suggest he might consider doing the same.

Unfortunately LS came in and over-promised and under-delivered with his "have a real go at the play offs and have fun".
So many are wary of the way forward. I won't be buying a ST as long as we do t have a squad big enough to field a team.
All the talk of being together or even needing to be is hot air considering what's coming out of the club presently.
We should be riding the crest of the takeover but it's as if nothings happened.

Does it matter how many buy a season ticket?, the fence sitters (like myself) will soon be tempted back if we assemble a decent squad and results are good. I'm happy to pay on the gate if the fare is watchable.

We did have a go and ultimately fell short because of a certain managers inability to manage a side. That last line is absolutely laughable aswell in itself. Ignoring the little things that’s happened/happening with the club because the big things are not getting done as quick as you’d like is ridiculous.

No what's laughable is to say we had a go but the manager wasn't up to it, because playing for clean sheets wasn't having a go, and it certainly wasn't fun to watch.
What has changed to encourage people to buy STs? So far, communication is almost as bad as it was under Raj, and transfer activity is zero. The owner's changed but little else has to get the fans excited imo.
All about opinions, so far LS is getting an easy ride (and he deserves time to sort things out), but truthfully how do you think the mood would be if Raj was still boss and the current state of the club?

It's more or less the same situation.
One gets a tad of criticism.
One gets worshipped and arselicked by a few.

It's all about the results next season but the foundations are looking very flimsy at this moment in time.

Maybe something positive happens from tomorrow ST Deadline Day.

it does make you think, especially due to the distance away, that LS has lost interest already with his new toy. running a 5th tier football club might not be as easy as he first thought especially when he cannot have a real hands on role. you do not exactly need to live in the town to own the club but it would help if you could get to the ground with a car ride from somewhere in this country. one positive is we have not just signed any old crap to make up the numbers and give us a glowing report about him and his fealings about signing for us and the wonderful fans.

I don't think it's necessarily a hindrance for him being in the States, many clubs have foreign owners who are infrequent visitors, it's more who he delegates the running of the club to imo.
We may be in a bit of a false situation with the season ending so early this year, and to be fair it's not even June yet so there's plenty of time. But basic stuff like keeping the official website current shouldn't be too difficult.
It really is like being in a time warp constantly hoping that tomorrow will bring news.
I really want the new era to be successful, but apart from moving Fev out there are no signs that it's going to be.

Not quite sure it’s the owners fault the manager he inherited loved a 0-0 . He clearly waited to have external people hire because of his lack of knowledge, not quite sure what was expected? If he got rid of NF it would have been LL and that’s almost as bad I’d argue.
Communication is not even close to being as bad as under Raj aswell that’s just a silly thing to say. Like I said, nothing major has changed as of now but the amount of small things that’s been changed/happened shouldn’t just be skipped past like it is by alot of our fans just because we haven’t went out and signed 3 players deemed good enough for promotion yet. If it was still Raj everyone would be saying same old as there was 8 years of evidence of a summer like this followed by a shite season, under Landon for me no one knows really much so rightfully so a lot of people are just waiting to see how ambitious we really are before we start making judgement.

TMH, Coxhall & Co arrived promising stuff that never happened, and that's why there's a wariness about the place at the moment. Its still a long long time till the start of the season and as long as there's nothing coming out of the club in terms of potential for better on the pitch there's going to be growing dissatisfaction.

plus we need time to slag off new signings for all the reasons there are. do not want that bollocks of late signings where we do not have time to dig any dirt on them from social media.

Even if Landon is busy with whatever he does in the US, surely someone could and should be in communication with the Pools fanbase, many of whom will be ready to commit hard earned cash into the club. Landon should be aware from his several visits that Hartlepool is not a rich town - but the fans will gladly cough up as long as they have belief in the owners - and the perceived playing squad of course.

Conversley, as Landon should also appreciate by now, we Poolies have been regularly shit upon by owners and players alike over recent years and can be forgiven to have nagging doubts during lengthy periods of silence and/or inactivity. Tomorrow is a big day in the Poolie calendar, we shall soon see if a raft if decent signings are announced OR an early bird extension until mid-June at the very least.

To sort out the communications coming out of the club- frequently updating the website and celebrating improvements, no matter how small- for instance the work that has already happened with the pitch.

That would at least keep fans in the loop and break the wall of silence, whilst they sort out our new marquee signings! :pray:

The way I see it under Landon…

- said a lot of things fans want to hear = good/refreshing vs Raj
- end of season play off push recruitment = bad
- retained list was ruthless, as everybody hoped it would be = good
- hire of Lee Clark and football department = questionable
- Rob Elliot, hinshelwood and Buxton manager going elsewhere with us getting Lee Clark = bad
- lack of transfer activity pre-June = to be expected
- any criticism of Landon at this point = questionable

We all got what we wanted when Raj left and new ownership came in. Fair enough it hasn’t been immediate impact but I think we all have a small bubbling excitement into what could happen when recruitment starts. This might end up being ill judged and naive if the recruitment turns out to be more of what Feaths got at the end of the season.

But seriously think people need to be a bit more patient. Club could help themselves by extending the deadline slightly on Early Bird… but maybe they back themselves to shift plenty more at full price with what they have planned…..

We'll be getting a dozen or so new players, same as last season when Simon Grayson came in. That lot were an unbelievably mixed bag, some very good, some completely useless. This summer I'm hoping for more consistency at the right end of the ability spectrum.

If recent seasons have taught us anything, Clark and co. should stick to 3 simple rules -
No Scots
No crocks
No has-beens looking for a last payday

Landon like all owners will only meet a certain section of the fans when he visits. they will most likely be part of the world we are not in. will give the impression hartlepool is like any other northern town and on his way to the ground he does not exactly pass beggers on the street with crowds of kids straight out of Oliver Twist. if you were not part of the club when we were shit on you can never really understand the pain. its not his fault he has taken on one of the hardest jobs in football but needs to decide quickly if he is the man for the job long term.

Carlisle have sold 3500 plus and their early bird goes on until 21st. June.I don’t think Pools will extend the deadline . I hope I’m proved wrong

I've got to agree with you on that, Mr Accy. We keep getting told a lot of work and change is going on behind the scenes but I guess I'll keep on me "wait and see" stance. I still think the early bird discount should be extended though.
