Leaves Gateshead as club can't commit to the level of budget and aspirations as he expected. Don't suppose he'll be out of work long, did a great job for them twice now.

What do clubs expect…? Obviously he’s a capable manager…depends what their targets are..or not.

Really bad news that Elliott is taking over, they'll be favourites to win the league now. Thought we might have been in for him but unfortunately not.

depends which rob elliott they get. the one who did well with gateshead or the disaster crawley appointed.

He could maybe buckle under the pressure of expectation-
At Gateshead there was very little expectation and he did well,
Went to Crawley, expected to perform and shit the bed,
Back to Gateshead (down and out, little expectation) performed.

He'll be expected to perform at Carlisle - could well Shit the Bed, again! :think:

I'm sure IOR used to do 1 year rolling contracts for managers, back in the day. Though that was in the olden days back when we had a manager for a whole season or more!

When I see the word ‘rolling contract’, I assume they’re on trial and the club in question is still a bit wary about giving out a proper contract to someone they are not yet confident enough to commit to.
