there penalty would be placed under the heading of it being a trick which is banned under the laws of the game. do not know the exact wording but is classed as ungentlemanly conduct and for once the rf was spot on. at the present time the laws state shirt pulling is one of the penal offences that a direct free kick is given for therefore its a penalty in the penalty area. surely VAR is there to uphold the laws of the game and not thinking its soft or not. really the laws need changing to stop cheap soft penalty,s being given but until that day happens do not pick and choose the ones you agree with.

Rochdale awarded a penalty last night, ex Pools player Manni stepped up to take the penalty, but stopped during his run-up and did not strike the ball, free kick to Scunny, was it the same ref. from the Pools game or iare refs are watching for it now ?

Just take the bloody penalty, run up and strike the ball ….simple as that.

Especially the goal celebrations, I suspect they meet up to discuss goal celebrations for half a day to perfect their routine, which usually looks like Swan Lake in diving boots…bloody divas.

As far as goal celebrations go if I was the groundsman I would be telling the manager to tell the players to stop the sliding on their knees digging up the turf after scoring also it can’t be doing their knees joints any good.

In the Benfica v Real game, the real player did some sort of celebration and he accused the Benfica player of racially abusing him after the celebration. Benfica manager Jose Mourinho has been criticised for comments he made after the match, including saying Vinicius had been disrespectful in his goal celebration.

any player who celebrates a goal looking at the opposition fans when doing so should get a red card and a one game suspension for doing so. its enticement of trouble, but they would be first to moan if there actions kicked something off. nobody likes there noses rubbing in it.
