Fosters lager is to be reduced in ABV from 3.7 to 3.4 from February 2026. It was reduced from 4.0 in January 2023.
Yes it tastes like piss and its only going to get worse in this beer desert that is Hartlepool. Sometimes there is so little choice in pubs i drink it unfortunately. Never again.
You can get a better buzz from drinking a cup of Ringtons tea.

Fosters tastes like piss regardless what the ABV is.

this is one of the reasons pubs are closing as there is a better selection of beer to be had from the supermarkets. saying that there must be plenty still drinking the piss otherwise they,d never sell it. is it an age thing yet again.

Stoped drinking years ago…..never missed it.

With Fosters you are not really drinking

them and carsberg are the main reasons i packed it in. never tried drinking water from a puddle but i,d guess it would taste similar to those popular lagers you see everywhere.

In other words it will make more profit for the brewers and retailers.

Brewers shrinkflation equivalent.

Only Fosters and Carling left in the fridge.It has to be one of the most disappointing sights at any party...

surely the responsible choice would be to buy something else.

They reduce the alcohol content which reduces the tax meaning they don’t have to increase the price but they probably do but will say the increase would have to have been more if they hadn’t reduced the abv.

I remember working with someone years ago who must have been a border line alcoholic……he had a medical problem that required him coming off the drink for a month.
Five days into his fast, he was with us attached with us in our group and we all had a brew up….as we sat there he suddenly said ‘Do you lot feel like this all the time’…… this from a borderline role model for Father Jack.

Coors is already down to 3.4%. That means you drown in it before getting drunk!
