Now if anyone who says they are British and are against the British Flag being raised, then surely they should not be in this country!
And if they are not British, what has raising our flag got to do with them.

When I am abroad, I love to see the local people being proud of their country and have their flags flying.

So we are being told that we cannot be proud of flying our own flag in our own country and being told that they don't like the motiviation behind it. Don't forget a perceived motivation.

Let see if the police issue a statement about the Pakistani Flags being flown in our country!

Can’t get my head why all of sudden people feel the need to show that their British, whats it going to achieve, in fact some don’t even know the right way to put one up, give it a few months and the councils or who ever won’t need to take them down as the weather will see to that.
If WW3 broke out see how British they would feel if call up papers got posted through the door, their a**ses would fall out.

Because they are sick of all the immigrants coming into the UK and getting everything paid for.
They are sick of cities and towns being overrun with immigrants.
They are sick of seeing their towns turn into 3rd world places.
They are far too many immigrants in this country.

Visit Scotland and Wales…or Ireland, their national flags are everywhere, no one bats an eyelid, but do it in England and you’re looked down on differently by the sniffy chattering classes and those who aspire to model themselves on them.
It’s a sign of the times we live in…funny though how nobody questioned Palestinian flags being flown.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... flags.html

"Pro-Israel lawyers have written to the east London council to warn that the 'proliferation' of Palestine flags in the local area 'intimidate Jewish people and may encourage violence against them"

I cannot find any statement made by the Police however.

You’re becoming confused what immigrants actually are and what they do,remove all the immigrants and the NHS and Care Hiomes etc would collapse. We don’t have enough people to staff those places. U.K. citizens won’t do the jobs either because they don’t have the skills levels or are better off on benefits.
Farage has got everybody going against immigration, he caused it with Brexit meaning, loads of EU workers returned home and we are having to import labour outside Europe.

If we lessen the immigrants over time and return jobs back to the people of the UK, that would be a start!

Otherwise we will have immigrants looking after immigrants!

It’s because they’re very nationalistic, chest beaters, which English people aren’t.. and are less demonstrative…about time we woke up instead of just accepted things…and I’m not talking about immigration….it’s about time we expressed ourselves…everybody else does.

As of February 2025, 11 million people in Great Britain were claiming Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits, that doesn’t include pensioners,I doubt they were illegals, btw not illegal but asylum seekers. The problem with the benefits system in the U.K. as it always has been that certain people are better off working part time and claiming top up benefits and at the same time if employers paid decent wages to full time workers they would not require top up benefits removing the burden from the state.

Maybe it’s a case of the ‘English’ waking up to tell the politicians to stop ignoring their wishes, the English are noticeably reluctant to be demonstrative unlike their spikey Celtic cousins with their chip on their shoulder attitude…time for the politicians to listen or pay the price at the ballot box.

Maybe because almost every survey of the general population has immigration as the No 1 priority for government to get a grip of but no government or party actually does anything about it.
Next most important issue is cost of living and energy prices and guess what they do f*CK all about them either.

The problem is there's a huge disconnect between constituents and their elected officials. When you've got career politicians, usually with zero real world or business experience, being parachuted into areas where they have no connection or affinity, and who'll simply toe the party line while benefitting themselves first and foremost people will ask "what's the point".

Immigration hasn’t been the cause of inflation, rising cost of living etc, the electorate need to get this immigration idea out of their head it has. As long as Reform keep saying immigration as the cause of our problems things won’t change, they are a one trick pony and need to focus on how they would fix the economy not stopping boats etc. if the boats stopped tomorrow nothing about the economy would change.

The money spent on immigration and asylum seekers comes out of taxes, tax increases to help pay for them contribute to inflation. Also the rising population due to high net immigration puts more strain on public services thereby increasing the need for more tax revenue. The rising UK population doesn't come cost-free Jamie, pretty basic economics.

The money spent on asylum seekers is minimal to what has been squandered, PPE supplied by PP Medro £22 million gone down the pan.
£38 billion for a failed Track and Trace system.
https://committees.parliament.uk/commit ... -lockdown/

£97 billion of taxpayers’ money spent on furlough and self employed job support a lot it fraudulently allegedly.
https://committees.parliament.uk/work/6 ... b-support/

HS2 costs must be touching £100 billion, how is that project going to benefit the tax payers ?

I thought we were talking about immigration, asylum seekers are only a part of it. The population is increasing as a result of uncontrolled immigration which is causing higher taxes to support public services including the NHS. Higher taxes for businesses means higher costs for their products for consumers - inflation.
if you want to talk about wasted money ask what the 100 plus quangos that Labour brought in in their first 100 days have cost and what value they've brought if any?

The thing is that at the time it was considered an emergency to get the PPE there was no complaining at the time by either side of the Commons, similarly Furlough saved thousands of jobs and businesses legitimately. To take months scrutinising every application was not an option, Track & Trace was good in theory but rushed through necessity. I don't recall any opposition to any of these schemes at the time? Don't forget Starmer wanted tighter and longer lockdowns which would likely have bànkrupted the country.
And just for good measure Jamie, HS2 is a Labour initiated project!

The budget's coming up soon... It's tin hats time for both Mutley and Jamie..I wouldn't confuse them with basic economics tbh.

Won,t have to worry too much about that if Mr Blair of Sedgefield fame gets his way because guess what his latest scheme is:

He wants Great Britain to become a " Global Nation "

Absolute fucking disgrace, Wonder if he wants his mates in Saudi to do the same.

Just imagine if John Smith hadn’t died suddenly, Blair would never have happened..no war in the Middle East and all it brought about….no PFI hospitals either.

You're overthinking it. It's very simple; the majority of people are sick to death of the infestation of the country by illegal and largely dangerous Islamist criminals coming across the channel and by the abuse of legal routes. Nigel Farage is the only one who has been consistent on this subject and has any credibility. This is why he will be PM come the next election.
