The Poolie Bunker

A new kit supplier Meyba has been announced…WTF is going on

Preparing for next season, Snooze you lose.

Who’s financing it…Raj, surely not …. or new owners?

I heard Ben Skully Recycling Limited.

Don’t they supply for free relying on sales to the fans to make money ?

Football kit suppliers relying on sales to fans to make money? There's hope for capitalism yet while you're around.

Behave Jamie

MEYBA supplies professional football teams worldwide, including the Guyana National Federation, San Francisco City FC, and UE Sant Andreu in Barcelona

“Following a very thorough tender process with all main kit suppliers, we’re delighted to announce this partnership and we’re really excited to start this journey with MEYBA

Household names those clubs, and the usual pyscho babble corporate BS, intending to make you think MEYBA were very lucky to be chosen, as Pools literally had 100s of other suppliers fighting with each other to supply Hartlepool United.

Shades of O'Neills about this

I don’t give a flying fuck who supplies the kit or the little nuances about the deal.

I just want to know why new kits are being ordered when we don’t know who’ll own the club next season.

Had a quick Look at the 2 clubs they currently supply and one has just over 1000 average attendance and the other 2500 so if they can supply those you’d hope they can scale up slightly. Think the kits nowadays you’re looking for a ‘street wear’ one to attract the kids that have a wardrobe of football kits and they seem to make that kind of style.
I seem to remember the supply issue with O’Neills only really started after the Remembrance Day stuff but the quality was shocking throughout so hopefully these will be better

They also announced the expanded academy and signed up a load of kids for all the age groups. There’s obviously the need to carry on as normal, because if not we’ll be so far behind when/if a takeover goes through, but announcing all of this does seem fishy…

Why would the club pay to sponsor a companies products ?
Kit manufacturers pay clubs for the rights to manufacture clubs kits based on the projected sales, maybe someone was asking too much from Errea and the best offer was from MEYBA ?
Spanish based company supplying mostly Spanish teams, maybe a Spanish connection in the new owners of the club, we could be a feeder club for FC Barcelona or Real Madrid

If they have paid upfront already will the money be going into Pools Clarence 18 ‘fund’ to reduce debt ?

If I owned the club and had intended to walk away at the end of the season, new kit suppliers would be the last of my worries…plus ….wouldn’t prospective purchasers want sort out their own kit contract instead the previous owner doing a deal shortly before they supposedly left….?

Something Dosent add up here for sure.

To be continued.

Pools have the honour of being the second club to be supplied Leverstock Green the other one, there are no longer supplying kits to the current Premier League teams like Tottenham, West Ham, and Southampton.
Why is a Spanish based company with no premises in the U.K. supplying kit for Pools, a N.L team, it’s not as if they will make much from selling to the fans, the plot thickens.

there will be lots of adding 2 and 2 up and getting different answers now.

My thoughts exactly Kev

With the new kit suppliers announced I predict the new owners will be announced at the game on Monday. I have it on good authority from a friend who has close connections to Pools knows who the new owners are but he won’t tell me, not bullsh*ting.

Almost certain it's Ben Dillon/Shelly Hammond

Monday it is then.
