The Poolie Bunker

i,m sure the game would be better off without them and has been around much longer than they have been. know ours is not the worst but the money wasted would go a long way to pay the wages of a decent player or cut down the losses made.

Players have been ripped of in the past, some not the brightest button in the box that’s why they use agents.

Wouldn't have happened on Uncle Ken's watch. He may have been a hard task master at times but he was a man of principle.

Yes Jamie, I think we all know why they have agents. However surely it should be the player that pays the agent NOT the club.

you can understand some but not all having them at the top level but surely players who can pick and choose clubs across the world do not need them. their fame is enough. then you go to the level of darlo and clubs even lower than them signing part timers who also have agents. its becoming an expensive joke for clubs and its not as if better football and players are coming out of it. surely pro players at least have their own union the PFA to look after their needs without a mr.10% on top of it all.

It's also how clubs get saddled with shit players - who get thrust onto chairmen as another player that the same agent manages. A dangerous game when the top brass sign players without the managers knowledge - happens at Chelski every summer

We need someone like Peter Taylor to spot the talent.

To the extent that agents fees generally reflect transfer budgets, you can always make a case that it's possible to buy success in the NL, same as all the other leagues.

Of the 4 biggest spenders, FGR, York and Oldham are all pretty much guaranteed play-off places and Southend are likely to make it too.
On the other hand, Barnet are favourites for the title and 'only' spent £11k more than Pools - BUT they had a very good team last season too (finished 2nd over the 46 games) and didn't neeed a big rebuild.

Incidentally, Pools only spent £5k less on agent's fees in the year just gone than they did in 2023-24. Bit different to what some have been saying!

As things stand though, Pools don't spend anywhere near enough to buy success. They need to take a leaf out of Gateshead's book and get a lot better at scouting talent. The Heed have spent sweet FA on agents for the last 2 years... and not by doing a Hodcroft either , because they're a fan-owned club without a pot to piss in.

we only need to match gateshead to achieve more for the club as we are a better club to play for if you take our ground, fanbase and other stuff into consideration. just encourage more fans to volunteer in every aspects of the club to both save money and get people doing a job they really care about.

Jesus Wept!
How can this be true?
(it's like a bad dream)

Just shows how far our once proud club has fallen!

Surely this underlines to anyone thinking Raj should stay, that NO- he really does need to Fuck off and let somebody else take it on, as he's clearly run out of steam.

I thank him for stepping in, when he did, and taking us up- though the last 3 seasons have been an utter shambles -
10 managers, Failed to make FACup 1st Round two years running, and barely been in with a sniff of the playoffs since returning to the abyss

We’re we’re slowly sinking over a few seasons and people are apparently adjusting to accepting this mediocrity, this level, this new reality and we shouldn’t be accepting it.
We don’t just have to aim higher we have to demand it…enough of this lowering of our own standards and expectations.

An incompetent boardroom stretching our brilliant fan base patience to the maximus.

The board now has to go ASAP.

It has let the standards connected to Pools fester into disgusting levels of depravity.

Surely to God this alleged takeover Dosent include 20 years of repayment to the miser as anything like that Dosent work.

Anyhow it seems like the blame to Coxhalls has finally run its course.

And ye Gateshead a prime example of how simple it is to operate quite good in what is a division of absolute horrendous standards.

Happy Easter everyone.
Remember health before football.

if only things were that easy to change. like it or not we are in a league where many teams and there fans are happy to be playing in. for some its the highest level of football there team has ever played in. its not a case of accepting it but at this day of the year all we can do is make the best of it unless you have the financial clout to change things for the better. the club has no god given right to be playing league football again because most of our history that was the norm.

Nobody does want Raj to stay though do they? Pointing out that Pools can't match a team with next to no fans and no money (Gateshead) in the feckin' National League isn't an endorsement of the way our club is being run, is it?

All this hot air about fans tolerating mediocrity - what, by going to games? - gets on my tits. The active fans and the armchair fans are united by one thing - wanting the current regime out and new owners with more money and/or more idea about running a football club in.

The one point of disagreement is that some fans prefer the kamikaze option of going bust and starting again in tier 9 to struggling on till new owners finally arrive. Like it or not (and I don't like it) Raj gets to make that decision, not us.

true hogans but too many prefer not to listen to facts and use there hearts over there heads everytime they see the words raj singh in print. as fans all we can do is work with the cards we have been dealt even if we want a better hand to play with. its still our pools even if it is a watered down version and would not swap it for another who might be living a dream today that could turn into there nightmare in the future.

Facts are raj Singh has ran this club into the ground. Facts are we had a huge opportunity to build on promotion crowds of 5500 pissed up the wall, because we got lazy and wanted to do it on the cheap. Facts are raj keeps saying nobody has proof of funds, well 2 groups interested the Wrexham owners the york owner etc have managed fairly well so far with funds. Goalposts moved when people are interested.

Let's stop pandering to this man like he is some sort of saviour. 90 percent of us want him out now because things will only get worse, more debt to his company, playing standards drop even further if that's possible.

Let's be honest will anyone be shocked if he is still here next season we hear very similar things every season to get the heat off his back to then be told no one has shown proof of funds yet we have fans still trusting or believing him. This the man that had a huge part in darlo going bust. He will do it to us too if he doesn't get what he wants.

The voice of facts Billy.
Wierd how some can't accept them.
100% non league shit is on this bad track record owner.

90% at least want change for the better. the biggest problem if finding the person or group that is and not another version of him making their own mistakes. our problem as fans is any new owner will be heralded as a saviour without knowing very much about them thinking anyone must be better than singh. at the outset every word will be believed like we might with a used car salesman would be as we cannot wait to get rid of our old unreliable banger as quickly as possible.

God knows who we will get we have dismissed people who are multi millionaires so who get next is in the lap of the gods, probobly penniless knowing our luck but that won't matter to raj as long as he gets back what he thinks is his. Let's be honest ior sold us down the river. Things might get worse with someone else in charge but without someone taking over we have zero hope anyway. I will be shocked if the club is sold before season ticket money is finished.

getting the right and proper owner most fans will rally round and they become and make the club a success is much harder than a manager with a decent budget bringing a promotion team together. Thing is we had that once only to see it destroyed in front of our eyes. if only owners could get dismissed as quickly as failing managers do the game would be far better. keep going on about it but has the game inproved overall since the billionaires ran the show.

Again, who the fuck is pandering to him on here? Poor old PTID? I bet he wants rid too.

The years long competition on here to see who can shout loudest about wanting Raj out still hasn't made it happen!

3 more weeks unless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends, If they come across Professionally we will know, Because of what we have seen in the past.

NOT like this joker, Poor Dagenham

https://daggers.co.uk/youtube-star-marw ... hip-group/

The ones that have continually defended him like he has been a saint. You will never get rid of anyone arselicking the guy.

I've never pandered to him or anyone. I want a take over but preferably a smooth one, I want the take over to go through without Administration or Liquidation being part of it, that means yes I want Raj here until someone buys the club from him. Not pandering, just sensibly hoping for the best for the club.
Proof of funds to run the club has to be provided to satisfy the NL and ensure our participation in their competitions - but hey don't let facts get in the way of the rabid rants.
Anyone wanting us to start again in tier 8 or 9 in preference to the status quo must be out of their tiny minds imo - go and ask Bury, Darlo, if they went their preferred route. Grown men in tears when their clubs have gone to the wall, yet f*ckwits on here are advocating it and bigging themselves up as the ultimate supporters, really!!!

Status quo? What more debt be added to raj's companies status quo? You choose to believe anything raj says over anyone. Dont let facts get in the way raj has said all this before and then moved the goalposts even the trust has said that who id tend to believe more than most.

The biggest fuckwits are the ones who have defended him at every opportunity for years. You do realise with this guy things will get worse a lot worse, it happened at darlo though you dismiss rajs role in that at every opportunity, yet about 3000 darlo fans hate him and dont want him anywhere near the place, i guess they are all wrong too.

Darlo don't have 3000 fans anymore to hate him do they? But if they do ask them if Liquidation of the club was a good thing. And why do they hate him if he halted their slow death of years and years of fighting Administration, struggling for survival if starting afresh is the best thing that can happen in those circumstances?
Status quo in football league terms is what I was referring to, and anyway the debts outstanding have reduced over the last 3 years or so of accounts on Companies House?
Nobody has defended him at every opportunity though have they really, might have a different perspective on reality but that's all.

Sensible fuck wits
And brown tongues fuckwits.

A bit like celtic n rangers in comparison.
