Just heard a bloke risked life and limb to single handedly tackle a raging fire tonight in Hartlepool. Here is a picture of this brave courageous person.

I know Mutley has left clues in the threads on this forum, while talking about things that happened in Hartlepool.
However I cannot be bothered to search or look back so I will take a best guess and say 51.

I'm under 60* and can recall them very well. Every Thursday, me mam traipsed me and me sister round practically every single shop in Lynn Street. Alright for me sister as she was in a pushchair, but I had to walk. I once wandered off inside the indoor market and stood crying in the doorway when I couldn't find me mam. My reward for that was a couple of slapped legs and being told that I'd be crying on the other side of me face if I didn't shut up.

And the walk up to the bus stop at the Central Stores was another joy. Obviously I also had to stand once we got on the bus to Rift House as all the "old people" needed a seat more than me.

And to cap it all, me mother invariably forgot something in the town, so we got off at the top of Oxford Road so she could get a tin of Pek or some margarine from the Co-op or Walter Wilsons at Catty shops - which meant another uphill trek up for me to our house in Cowper Grove.

I fucking hated me sister being chauffeured all the way in her bastard buggy. Bitch...!

To quote some warbling Welsh bint, those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end...!

* I'm 59 - but just like Raj's time at Pools, it's only for another three weeks...

I remember going down with my Granda one Saturday aged five and got lost in Woolies,…so I walked up to my aunties in Gloucester Street and she took me to my grans….she gave the old feller hell when he came in .
The Saturday crowds were something to be seen with no room on the pavement…I found out when I went into school on theMonday that I’d brushed past my teacher with an ice cream and touched her coat…she announced to the class of seven year olds and gave me three over the hands with a ruler…sadly for her I told my mam…..game over
