The Poolie Bunker

Old man on his deathbed. The 'whole' World is praying for him.

So when he passes away does that mean 'God' wasn't listening. And if 'he' wasn't do they stop praying because it's a waste of time praying to someone who isn't there and/or doesn't care if 'he' is there??

I’m not praying for anybody.

It’s funny when people state they speak for all.

Starmer was on the TV news speaking about the latest interest rate cut and he said “everyone watching this will be pleased about this” and I’m thinking ‘I’m not’ - I’ve got savings and it’s going to effect my income!

You’re right, some fractional cut in interest rates and they think the ordinary people are off organising street party’s and how to spend the coppers if any they might get.

or when they use the word we instead of me.

He must have been getting coached by a spin doctor to sound normal….ish.

No one celebrating because the interest rate has not reduced to the pre Truss debacle although she still thinks she did the right thing in her disastrous budget. Interest rates reductions mostly affects the majority who have mortgages or loans, how many of the average house holders have savings in an interest bearing account ?

Your Leaders well pleased.

My leader ??? I lean to the left but certainly not a fan of the current centralist Labour Party, in fact thinking of voting for George Galloway party at the next election, Workers Party of Great Britain.

Jamie why do you always drag another politician into the argument when your Party is attacked…….At school when the teacher caught you drinking the Carbon Tetrachloride filling from the old brass fire extinguishers, did hoy finger the caretaker and say he drinks it as well to the teacher …?

might be hard to find a worker who votes for that party. bit like the socialist worker rabble.

He needs to do a bit of praying for forgiveness himself for his actions and lack of then during the Argentine dirty war in the seventies when he was in bed with a regime that murdered 30’000 of its own people.

Step forward Johann Cruyff, the only people who came out of that 78 world cup with even a modicum of integrity.

I am still praying for the playoffs. _

Rumour has it the Cash ISA limit s going to be lowered by the thieving bastads...

Starmer!!!!!

Starmer needs to be shot...

by a water pistol!!!!

From 20k to 4k…….wonderful.

Put another s in the spelling of pistol.

Well you voted for these charlatans. I never thought anyone could make Sunak look good but this lot are making him look like Nostradamus.

You don't hear so many people slagging off the past 14 years now..

Oh you do though.

When are you going to stop defending them ,you were taken for a mug at the ballot box Mutley, admit it.

You do with a narrow circle of opinion…surprising though how many class this shower masquerading as socialists now have more in common with Young Conservatives in the 70’s than the Labour Party as I knew it.

Who has £20k to invest in cash ISA plus there are more tax efficient products on the market.

You have a very short memory, how much did Trusses disastrous tenure raise peoples mortgage payments by which still haven’t returned to the pre Truss level. The Bank of England had to buy £45 million of bonds to keep interest rates even lower or there would have been people defaulting on their mortgages.

because for the first 9 tear things were not that bad. its only the johnson, truss and sunak show that really was. they stopped being conservative like labour has being that.

Really?? Tell me how I was taken for a mug at the ballot box...I need a bit more information so I can understand what you are waffling on about.

You voted for a party that is shafting people and businesses left, right and centre with a leader proving to be useless on the World stage and who is surrounded by incompetent idiots..Are there not enough threads running to back up the case?

I am sorry if it has touched a raw nerve...

doubt anybody got or expected what they voted for.

Absolute bollox....FACT.

Come on, he’s like the pilot of a Mumbo Jumbo jet hurtling down the runway with full afterburner on ……. But just can’t get off the ground.

I'm interested, jamie..Go ahead and name them.

Jamie…mind you he’s living on Krakatoa for £3 a month full board.

Speak with an Independent Financial Advisor, there are are loads of Investment Funds to many to name but you are obviously think there are only cash savings accounts available just goes to show your level of knowledge re financials.
Looks like you have stopped picking on Mutley and turned your wrath on me as he ripped you up for a*** paper time and time again.

Wrong Snowy £1.50, and I have a Swimming Pool and it’s bloody hot, dear me envy and jealousy again.

So,you know sweet fa and bring risk into it as i thought you would..

Me picking on Mutley?? You get better by the day,jamie..

Just goes to show how ill informed you are PTID, in fact I would go so far as to say thick, you have never heard of Unit Trusts/Investment Trusts which provide a far better return than any cash account. Where do you think Pension companies etc invest their money not only that they are available to a private investor.
There are currently around 400 to 416 UK investment trusts (which are similar to unit trusts), with sources indicating a number between 400 and 416 depending on the data source and time of analysis.

Me thick as f*ck? I haven't posted on this thread you absolute moron!!
And just to be accurate a cash isa is a tax free but safe investment. Unit Trusts and Investment Trusts aren't- you could in fact end up potless.

Apologies wrong person.

Apologies PTID I for some reason I misread the post, yes you can end up potless but in general they are a better bet than a savings account providing you seek the advice of a decent IFA.
