Sick of the shite--well we got a win vs Sutton --so before those 2 games 4 points would have been good!
1 win in 6 matches doesnt excuse dropping points against part timers at home---this sort of loser mentality and accepting mediocrity is going to lead us to where we are now--nowhere

He should have said it was a poor result--we are disappointed with and we have to do much better if we are serious about doing something this year-doesnt need to slag the players off, but he does need to challenge them to look at themselves and ask what they want to achieve-
Not one interview with the players have they said--yeh we are way off where we want to be this season and really need to kick on---everyone just says--ah well we are doing ok.

I remember when danny wilson was boss he famously tore the players a new arsehole when losing at halftime to Accrington....ie do you want to spend your entire careers treading water and playing at shitholes like this ?
They won that game 2-1 and had a 22 game unbeaten run....now obviously this squad is nowhere near as talented but a few need a proper rocket up their arses and asking if they are happy just to trudge along and have a shite career or want to do something !

Maybe he's just trying to maintain a bit of positivity for those who actually listen to the briefings? Good managers in all walks of life tend to protect their teams rather than criticise them publicly. Maybe he is tearing them a new one behind closed doors?
Old school managers are few and far between nowadays, probably not for the best for results but definitely for the ultra sensitive souls that ate today's players.

He can do both though---what annoys me is how comfortable everyone is with how we are doing this year which is shite!

Apparently we should have won against wealdstone despite being battered as we were 1 up with 5 mins to go.....we also apparently should have won against braintree despite needing a last minute equalizer because we created a lot.....those 2 analysis are in direct contradiction to each other---yet we carry on kidding ourselves coulda shoulda woulda, no one seems to be too bothered about it all, and I do wish (and I know it wont happen) that the interviewers would call out this obvious bullshit

If the interviewers asked tough questions they'd be told no more interviews.
Our managers press briefings are pretty much the same at every other club just soundbites. Hopefully he can get the reaction from the players that we all want to see regardless of what he says.

To be fair the lad that asks the questions is woeful- he makes Shandy look remotely talented.
He never asks anything difficult or out of the ordinary - same shite every time.

It's even worse when he interviews a new signing- All we ever get is 'Cant wait to get started,' 'As soon as I heard Pools were interested, just wanted to sign as it's a huge club,' and 'the fans are amazing'. Those are the 3 standard answers, he waffles on for ages before finally remembering to ask them what position they play!

No fooking players are getting any of our Turps Kev we are not a fooking charity. I am actually sharing a few bottles of our best Turps with Dustin Gee formally know as MutleyRules. He said its a little strong for him and would I kindly " front " the tandem to his house. gives the impression everything is just scripted and you can hear the same shit at every club in managers interviews and from new players. none of em seem to have a hint of humour in a reply and its all so so serious nowadays. those who want to hear more communication from the club be careful what you wish for as it could all so easy be similar crap from different people.
