The Poolie Bunker

Despite trying out a new position ultimately it was an anti climax after some promising early penetration we were unable to keep it up, despite celebrating prematurely and coupled with leakage at the back end the evening ended up an unsatisfying damp mess

- Was expecting a good finish should have been properly rubbed down before applying the wax Back to the drawing board and my wood!

Make your " free wood " into a bat Kettering and smash it over the heads of at least 3 or 4 of our vastly overrated shit players please.

I can't comment...I was flaccid for 90 minutes.

Why use posh words you don't in normal life.

How 'cum' we look ordinary all game but Tamworth...fecking Tamworth looked much the better team in places??

A Low...surely we can't go any lower!!!

Only at Pools only at foooking Pools.

I don't...I got the word from our lass. I'd never even heard of the word 3 years ago...but apparently it's all the Rage now...in our house!!! Ppffttt!!!

Go on Mutters blame you poor lass.

Always the bridesmaid, Pools!

Yet again the results went for us and yet again we couldn't beat the Butcher, the Baker and the fucking Candlestick Maker

More back to back 1st home game failure yet again.
Got to be the most fuck ups in football these last 14 seasons bar DCs.

Probably have to win our last 6 games now.

as i have said on another thread we were on top apart from losing our way big style for the last 20 minues of the first half when they looked like scoring. just why cannot we get gifted two goals yet have to be at our best to score ours.

STOP over reacting you lot, The manager went for it, And it almost paid off.
The only thing i would pull him up about is NOT subbing Dodds after 20mins.

Dodds was that far off the pace i thought he was ill, And suffered the longer he was left on.

Watch their second goal and as the ball is played in Dodds is actually walking out of the penalty away from the player that scored.
Mention to Hunter to who did little wrong 2nd half.

We went for it and hope we do the same on Saturday/Tuesday, Better than being bored shitless.

Results business.
Shudda
Wudda
Cudda normally means failure.

This Xtra creation last 2 games needs converting into 11 wins then we all happy

spot on. more positives than negatives looking at the whole 90 minutes. just a few tweeks here and there needed with playing lads in form and not from past reputations. we possibly would have drawn the game under recent regimes but have been bored witless or froze wherever you watched it. cannot wait for saturday instead of dreading it thinking why am i bothering.

Agree 100%, but leave the IPTV 'loyal fans' to have their bit of fun - win, lose or draw they're still sat on their arses at home.

Playing 3 at the back is high risk and Smith might have a very long wait for his next clean sheet. Pools are still missing too many chance to benefit fully from the emphasis on attack, and to be fair Tanworth could have 3 or 4 themselves in the 1st half. Small, quick forwards are always bad news for Waterfall and Parkes, regardless of Doddsy's horror show. Hunter was excellent when he got on, got on top of their left winger from the first tackle.

Should have gone on to win it second half, but Featherstone and Campbell wasted loads of dead ball opportunities. Hunter-Waterfall- Ferguson back 3 on Saturday?

its always horses for courses and i can never understand why clubs insist on playing two lumbering tall defenders against a small quick team. its as if there is an unwriitd rule its got to be done and lads like hunter and sheron could easilt have coped in defence better. could possibly see the reason why last night as we all expected an airial assault but the tonka toy did not come on till later and he never got a chance to show his trick.

You can’t really play 3 at the back unless At least one of your back 3 is fast, unfortunately Dodds form makes him unpickable and the geniuses running the club rate Gash Davies higher than mani O who could play that role well if he wasn’t in fucking maidenhead or wherever we sent him out too

Not enough pace in those 3 so ripe for a sucker punch--and I still have nightmares about Ferguson as a LCB under Askey

We should recall Mani O and play him if thats the formation we want to go with

Mani O has been playing well for Maidenhead by all accounts. We should recall him, he can travel up on their team coach, and turn out against them.

I am surprised more teams have not cottoned to Pools lack of pace in defence with long balls over the top.

What a time to be alive and a Poolie. Scrabbling around for positives from a home draw with Tamworth. Hope we improve for the next two.

Don,t think any of us are scrambling around looking for + , They are there to see.
And i don,t hope we improve in the next 2, I expect us to convert a higher % of chances created.

Battleships trying to out manoeuvre destroyers, never works out well.

Absolutely. When we've been allowed to descend into NLN, we'll think these were amazing days.

I heard Pools fans were dancing in the streets with positivity after a cracking result against Tamworth last night. Some achievement from the boys in blue last night to match such a fine team.

Only a small demented minority who reckon all is Sweet.
W. Anchors

Bet you can't name any of this minority? I didn't see anyone leaving the ground happy. But the facts are we were unlucky not to win and there were signs of improvement in an attacking sense. Not the end of the world, certainly not pushing us to the brink of the NLN as some of the more hysterical seem to think. But time and games are running out, fortunately those above us are not taking advantage and we're still within touching distance of 6th place.

One day this shitty Failurism mite dissapoint you.
But I doubt it.
Crank

He reckons Kemi Badenoch does great at PMQ's aswell. He probably thought Pol Pot was a decent human being aswell. No one is bad in PTID's eyes.

it was still an improvement on our last home game and a few of the away ones prior to sutton.

Where did I say Badenoch did well? Same lies as ever Muttley. Run out of reasonable argument so spin or make stuff up. Same as your idol Starmer I suppose!

Until it's mathematically impossible to make the play offs I won't write the season of as failure.

He's not my idol...far from it.

There's always 1
Stop fighting your fantasy pal.

That's good advice I think.

If only HUFC were as tenacious as their excuse makers.
