It must have happened pretty sure it has. Now who do we think will be in charge this week? I would say Gucky assisted by Featherstone. Come to think of it if Gucky is given a couple of weeks in charge I would bet he will do a great job. He played under Keegan at Fulham and would definitely know the attacking style needed to entertain and win games. But has the extra tool of being a solid centre half to go with it. It's just a thought and maybe he would decline it full time but dafter things happen. He knows the club inside out and the fans also and with Featherstone could be the answer to a long running problem Raj has had when the answer could be right in front of nose. I have to say before someone poo poos my suggestion that I would prefer Pete the Wildman, if I was Rag I would push the boat out to get him. I don't see the point in the club continuing to employ then sack managers probably due to offering shit wages. Give the man a good salary and a two year contract and you will save thousands instead of this silly cheap hiring and firing. For godsake we are one of the biggest clubs in this league and really should get this right once and for all. Come on Raj sign a solid long term manager with all the confidence in the World. You know it makes good sense and even better financial sense. You have done well with your backing this year and that has allowed us to build a quality squad. A racehorse needs an experienced quality rider to get the best results so it's either put up a good offer to a good proven quality manager or sell the horse.

Gucky never got given a chance at Fulham after Keegan arrived due to Gucky 'breaking' a Newcastle players leg in a pre-season friendly v Pools.

By heck you have a bloody good memory Mutters. I totally forgot that happened. bbolt

Believe it was Mark Robinson who's leg he broke, they had just signed him from Barnsley.

I don't think he played under Keegan at all.
I'm sure he didn't make his debut until Bracewell took over about 18 months later. Which surprised me at the time as I think we sold him for about 80k.

I think Gucky signed for Fulham about a fortnight before Dirty Mo from the big corner shop bought the club and parachuted Keegan in as manager

Not sure Gucky ever played for Fulham's first team. The crappy little Wikipedia article about him says he did but also gives a list of appearances that has a 0 against his time at Fulham (1997-2000). And the only source it quotes (UK A–Z Transfers) also gives 0 first-team appearances. Another article about him joining Oxford "on a Bosman" in 2000 says he'd spent the previous season in Fulham's Reserves.

Gucky had bad injury problems at Fulham, remember we had him back on loan as well.

They normally have Monday off if there isn't a Tuesday fixture so no training.

Thought it was a Wednesday off, well known day for players in the past to go the drink.
Maybe a ploy by Singh, I brought a really good manager in and decent players but there is no backing from the fans therefore I am pulling plug.

How much evidence do people need to realise that Sarly ain't leaving anytime soon.
It's obvious he's negotiated /bullshitted an absolute blinder of a contract.

Think it's been a last throw of the dice by Sing and ifs backfireing major style.

All self inflicted by letting crank fans joining the board to help KP get stabbed in the back.

You can live up to false hope and beat yourself up or face the real world of getting back to the EFL will never happen again under this ownership.

The truth hurts its just part of life.

Was it Higgy who lost his job after fans effectively boycotted a match leaving Raj with no choice? Got to happen again on Saturday surely.

I'm actually shocked by some of the people who have stopped going this season, dedicated fans who have followed through thick and thin for years. My worry is that even after Sarll inevitably goes it'll be too late for some. People move on to other stuff.

Apparently the second agenda item is over-running and Mr Sarll MBE is currently waiting for Mr Lawrence to return from his nineteenth visit to the newly opened 'Lennie's Loo' - Ms Stoker has been sent to The Asda for a fresh supply of three ply. Mr Wild has sent his apologies; he'd prefer a 'poke in the eye' or words to that effect.

not too sure about that. many will still listen in and watch the results. you do not turn your back on your own team for ever but many need a reason to attend games. if he went this week i,m sure it would put a few hundred back through the turnstiles.

I'm sure you're right that most people will be back - obviously not long ago we had a crowd that was nearly 40% bigger. It was also great to see the crowd include so many younger fans. If Sarll goes, I'd expect a bump on the pitch and in the stands. If Raj goes I'd expect an even bigger increase in the crowd!

I think you're right, I've just been surprised by people who I consider core fans, the ones who always buy season tickets, been going since the 70s and 80s, home and away, etc. knocking it on the head. Really sad to see. Hopefully they'll come back with new ownership - it's not just the manager who has caused them to stop attending.

Just shows how quickly things turn when confronted with this sort of football.
I am pushed to remember’ anything this bad offered as entertainment, because that’s what footballs about.
Football by numbers plus football by chances created is ok if you’re walking the league and even then only tolerated, but we’re apparently being lumbered with it by a bloke who only read half the book on how to do it. :angry-tappingfoot:

I was optimistic regarding sarll, and I quite enjoyed his interviews when we had a few wins and things looked a bit rosier. I genuinely thought things would click into place, but I've lost any confidence in the bloke. I can put up with the bullshit if we are winning, I find it quite funny. However after half a dozen home games and one scrambled injury time goal, his bullshit is exactly what it is... bullshit.
I was quite happy KP wasn't kept on, I don't think we'd be in a much better position with him. I just can't understand how people at the club can't see he has lost the team and the support, it's genuinely puzzling.
I was looking forward to Saturday when I was hearing the rumours of his sacking, but its just going to be really grim. Even if we scrape a win, which I doubt, there's no way he'll maintain any sort of form.

That’s very close to my thoughts, glad Phillips left, Sarll superficially amusing, be fine as an acquaintance etc but he’s not competent and underneath it all there is the insecurity and nastiness coming out as he sees the BS not working

I am amazed nothing has been done or said, we haven’t even got to the ‘I’m not a quitter’ flailing yet, but we have begun the scapegoating of the ones who aren’t ’his players’ which I expect will amp up. Though thankfully the fans won’t buy it
