The two women who threw orange liquid over the Van Gogh painting have just been given 2 years in jail.
Apparently their supporters outside the court are describing them as political prisoners
In my eyes they‘re just attention seeking vandals.

Why did they not just deface themselves.
Example. Petrol, SuperGlue, Starvation, Chained to a train(moving)

How would anybody take notice of that attitude.

Apparently a group of 100 artists have condemned the sentence…..big deal, would they be so outraged if it was one of their paintings….?

But imagine if the artists went on strike. The country would grind to a halt.

That painting was crap anyway,I've seen school kids do better,why my son didn't complain all that much when I spilled my vodka and orange over his painting he did at school.people are too uptight these days

It might well have been crap in your eyes, but that ‘crap’ is worth several millions…. and people do tend to get a bit ‘uptight’ when attention seeking fuckwits try to damage them.

I find it ironic that the paint they threw on the painting will probably contain oil & the glue they used to attach themselves to the wall afterwards, will also contain oil. The stupidity of these people knows no bounds

Let’s face it, they must be lacking in grey matter to allow themselves to be suitably brainwashed in the first place. Just another pair of life’s losers desperately seeking attention via their 5 year old childish antics. Move on, nothing to see here.

I actually believe they thought they were untouchable, because they believe they’re right, a bit like some dodgy religious sect.
Must have been like a slap in the face with a dead cod to realise they aren’t above the Law, they’ll class themselves as Martyrs, getting even more religious .

its not the point as all art and design varies in how good it looks to those who are looking at it where fashions of the time make some more acceptable than others. Someone vandalising something you like is different to the same group vandalising something you think is crap if there is no political motive behind it.

I see that three more of these losers have been arrested for pulling the same stunt - has anyone seen the clip of them - they look like cast members from The Plague of the Zombies.

Uptight these days? Criminal damage has been wrong for a long long time. I don't think it's uptight to be pissed off by it.

I would like to find two or three of these allegedly crap paintings in my roof space, that's for sure.
