I know, madness isn't it?

He seems to have the same level of political judgement as Sunak and the venality of Johnson.

Wouldn't be suprised if there's 20 expelled Labour MPs by Christmas - unable to stomach the new austerity budget.

At least he declared them, at every opportunity the right wing media are always digging Starmer up, not that I like him. They appear to forget how much was spent on number 10 by Johnson estimated at £200000, he did say he paid for it though ?

You seem to have a thing about the right wing press, jamie. Well i don't like things being swept under the table whatever the news ,better to have it all out in open and make every one accountable for their actions eh.

I don’t care whether he declared them or not…he still took them.
Two and a half grand for glasses…? Starmer’s money was spent Starmer.
Johnson’s money went on decorating Downing Street, so he was hardly gonna take it with him was he…..l

They were gifts, it didn’t cost the tax payer a penny, the difference is we the tax payer paid for the renovations in Downing Street including the gold wallpaper.
In every industry’gifts’ regularly change hands more so at Christmas, my ex worked with a local building company and they were inundated with ‘gifts’ I never had to buy any wine at Christmas, we even got a Christmas tree one year.

he has only followed on from what mp,s from the past have done. its as if he is the first one ever to take a freebee and will certainly not be the last. if he had done what the MSM wanted it would have all been brushed under the carpet. now someone has mentioned the downing st. cat has done missing. this country is shit.

The cabinets decision making on this and the WFA has been terrible but its only about some spec, suits and frilly knickers for RR & AR.
What is important is what is in the budget in October. It will define this government if it has not already been defined by the WFA debacle. What a grotesque decision.

The thing is when he was leader of the opposition he made out he was whiter than white (is it still OK to use that phrase, or should I prepare for a stay at Franklands). Constantly harping on about government sleaze and making g out to be a man of the people, even though we all know SIR Keir never has been of the people.
Taking a couple of hundred quid of pensioners many of whom are struggling to get by while taking all kinds of freebies for himself and cabinet colleagues, and should he actually be paying tax on these gifts? He said pensioners didn't NEED the WFA, well on a household income of £300k plus we could ask does he need these freebies? Bottom line is that they weren't freebies anyway they were payment for a go anywhere Parliamentary Pass allegedly.
Westminster is a swamp and the rats who inhabit the ace are getting greedier by the day.

Always makes me chuckle when you see a politician with ppe on, probably first time they have ever worn any, that’s the problem none have ever worked at the ‘coal face’ straight from uni into politics.

Nothing in the right wing MSM about this,
Robert Jenrick, who is the favourite to be the next Conservative party leader, received £75,000 from a firm which has no employees, has never made a profit and has £332,000 in debts after taking a loan from an untraceable British Virgin Islands company.

They're all at it left, right and centre. Raynes this morning claiming they were totally different to Tories because they were I dividual gifts, f*cking behave it's corrupt regardless of the level of corruption and shed be squealing for blood if the boot was on the other foot.
They get a wage and every other penny should be accounted for incomes and expenses, surely Starmers and his wife's clothes and specs should be classed as a benefit in kind and taxable as well?

Behave, people in politics who give ‘gifts’ want something back.

Terribly naive to believe anyone gifts or donates to politicians without wanting something in return. You don't get to be mega rich by giving money away for nothing.
Taking a couple of hundred quid of some of our most vulnerable while getting their own noses deeper in the trough.
They're going to get a kicking off the unions when they vote for a U turn on the wfa today, will they change their minds or defy their paymasters? Another step closer to the exit door for Starmer?

love hearing all this outrage because people involved with getting gifts are politicians. know i have had freebies and perks at work like many of us i,m sure have had. Never paid a penny entrance fee for years by having a mate who was a pro. Never paid for any welding when my old man was still working and got cheap car repair for jobs i could not do from the fitters and sparkies at the bus garage.

Nail on the head there Snowy.

What the tories did is history and the tories are history because of what they did.
The present lot are now in the firing line and are hell bent on baring their collective arse as very rounded targets.
Like me old dad used to say.........when you get rid of one politician, all you do is replace that politician with another politician.

Yes I was a Labour stooge many years ago when they actually fought for the benefit of the working class. Not anymore, I don’t like Starmer or the majority of his cabinet, just centre left Tories, very slightly centre left.

The real facts are plain for all to see, they're all in it for themselves. They'll stretch the rules, or even break them for their own benefit and think it's OK to say sorry if they get caught.

Income tax?

We all get clobbered for perks, gifts in kind, tips. Surely these items getting handed over like clothes and glasses should be taxable.

You don’t like James O’Brien Snowy, you ever listen too him, he can be a bit monotonous but does quote some interesting facts now and again, he was a Tory at one time, Farage hates him with a venom only because he speaks the truth about him.

O'Brien worships prostrate at the feet of Starmer, as you do, so if there is a surge in deaths amongst the elderly this winter, are you going to point the finger Jamie and at who.

What’s prostrate got to do with it ?
Derwent do you ever read my posts, obviously not, I don’t like Starmer or the agenda he stands for, I am an old fashioned 70s Labour supporter. They made a wrong decision re WFA which I don’t support on their conscious be it certainly not mine, I didn’t vote Labour.

O’Brien is Starmer’s biggest defender, so if YOU don’t like Starmer why are you quoting his biggest apologist taps the reference to go down.
You keep tripping over the carpet of your own contradictions..
Are you really a poster or a committee who each take a day in turn to be ‘Jamie’…would certainly explain the contradictions.

Real facts my arse, are you on a wind up.
Any body taking notice of James O’Brien on anything is brain dead.
He’s Starmer’s running dog, defending Starmer from day one.
You’ve blown your cover and shot yourself in both feet….Jeeez stpid

You don’t like James O’Brien Snowy, you ever listen too him, he can be a bit monotonous but does quote some interesting facts now and again, he was a Tory at one time, Farage hates him with a venom only because he speaks the truth about him.

O'Brien worships prostrate at the feet of Starmer, as you do, so if there is a surge in deaths amongst the elderly this winter, are you going to point the finger Jamie and at who.

What’s prostrate got to do with it ?

Tell it to the fairies Jamie.
Unfortunately I do read your posts and it is obvious who you support.
You're in the headlights Mr Rabbit.

I don’t believe in fairies Derwent, just because I have left leaning views doesn’t mean I support or vote for the Labour Party, they are not a left leaning party anymore, they are a centralist party in fact they might as well team up with the Lib Dem’s.
I never voted or supported Labour in the last election Derwent, Starmer a laughing assassin likewise Reeves, he is a bully removes the whip from anyone who doesn’t agree with him knowing he has such a large majority he can afford to do so.I didn’t even vote Labour in the Tony Blair years, couldn’t stand the fella.

Snowy judging by your comments you are a closeted Tory admit it, i reckon you will have a few portraits of Thatcher and a few other Tory PMs dotted around the house.
I need to check to see if I have won a Stalin portrait on eBay to add to my collection.

Bully for him. He is capable of getting it right when he tries. A busted clock is right twice a day.
No doubt he is following the company line.
Obviously his opinions on the matter are falling on deaf ears, up to now anyway.
