I used to argue that we got crap politicians because we didn't pay them enough to get the very best of candidates. I now think that brought on this group of people who see being an MP as a career rather than an honour to represent a constituency in Parliament

you mean represent a constituency miles fom their previous home that they have never visited once in their lives before being shoehorned into it being a safe seat.

We could start by paying them realistic expences, And THEIR pension is cast in stone. Horrible, Horrible people.

Our MP is local and voted for his master’s voice instead of his pensioner constituents, we have a by election for his council seat…Will the voters opt for the Labour Party candidate again or vent their anger.
If they vote Labour in again, they deserve all they get.

Labour won’t win it cause they slopped the WFA, no idea out of the other, Tory supporters could opt for the Lib Dem’s, Greens no chance, Reform possibly because Farage face always in the MSM but has yet to visit his seat in Clacton by all accounts.

biggest interest is when we see the outcome of the first parliamentary by election. wrong candidate in the wrong area could see labour losing their deposit.
