i was in car park outside the pub eating some chips 2 arrested included 1 from Midlands somewhere + a load of less than 'academic' LEEDS 'gentleman' shouting that intelligent chant LEEDS, LEEDS LEEDS & banging on windows was all I saw. Certainly no punch ups outside!

Police acted strongly to quell trouble, but with growing shouts for about 30 seconds most police froze I believe after fear until 1 officer took the intitative to go in the pub & the rest followed. Never seen so many police with 'Camcorders' indicating this is a known trouble spot

Yes it was very clever ripping the piss in a Leeds pub oustide the ground. I'm sure you'd appreciate the same if it happens on Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, as we mentioned beforehand, a number of your fans enjoyed the beer garden behind without so much as a murmur either way. Four coppers came up the stairs, looked around in vain for trouble and walked off.

It can be done, you see.

I was there. Infact, we knew the lad who was fighting.

Was nothing major and that's the only bit of trouble I saw.

Anyway the police and horses came and moved the majority of people to the ground. We finished our drinks then went to the ground.

I'm not normally one to pick up on spelling Mr BBB, but you seem to have spelled "afta" incorrectly

I was in the beer garden until about 2 O'clock I thought the atmosphere was gradually getting more hostile as kick off approached. The knuckle draggers on the grass bank where chanting all sorts of abuse at anyone in a Pools shirt.

For that reason we decided to have a pint in the ground, and I was wasn't surprised at all to hear it had all kicked off about five minutes after we left!! To be fair that pub had more 'hooligan types' I've ever seen gathered in one spot!! I'd hardly call the place away fan friendly sadx confised

Never saw any bother all day.

We even walked through the alley behind their home end after the match in full Pools shirts to get back to the car park and there was no chew.

Might not have been the best idea had we won like...

Apparently some leeds fans were hell bent on having a fight. They saw their obvious targets in the Peacock, apparently picked on the wrong lads and got a kicking for their troubles.

Serves them right I say!

I frequent that beer garden from 1pm every home game and those 'knuckle draggers' are simply scarfers who've had a bit to drink. I've NEVER seen anything kick off round the back. If, however, something goes amiss inside then there will be the usual supply of people who wouldn't start anything normally who'll tag along.

IN the beer garden your fans enjoyed uninterrupted drinking and as far as I'm aware (and it's not a big place) not one single word was uttered in your direction. Half those people are from WACCOE.com and have been gathering there as friends for years. I'm one of 'em, so I should know.
