It needs to be slimmed down to a level that still attracts the American and Japanese tourists.

They get £132 million of the crown estates profits and the country gets £968 million.
Their share could be slimmed down a bit more, of that there is no doubt but it puts into perspective their worth to the country, Dinosaurs or not.
We could always do to them as the Russians did to the Tsars.
Off with their heads.
I don't think William and Catherine will be too concerned about Starmer's refusal to abolish the child benefit cap.

Don’t you have to make a claim for Child Benefit I don’t think it’s paid automatically, would they actually make a claim ?

I don't know Jamie but if they have to claim then I would guess that they wouldn't.

Yes you have to make a claim for child benefit, even if you don't receive the money you should still claim otherwise when the child reaches the age of 16, they won't be automatically allocated a National Insurance number & will have to apply for one, which is a right ball ache apparently.

Of course they have to make a claim, or how the hell would they know.
If you have a big family it’s a tidy sum, but who would anyone want a huge family….?

You only get it for the first 2 children, £25.60 for the first child and £16.95 both rates are weekly but paid monthly. If your child is under 12 you receive National Insurance Credits if you are unemployed, if one of the partners earns more than £60000 there is a tax charge.

when the immegrants bring their dependants over here and start breeding it will be rare to see families with less that 3. actually do not think people have kids just for the benefits as when they are a bit pissed it could be the last thing on their minds when they are banging away. not exactly a turn on saying lets have a bit of sex in the hope for a benefit increase. us to rile me when a person i knew did not need the child benefit and drew it only to put it in a savings account. should be means tested anyway and given to those really in need.

Used to common practice for very young teenage girls to have kids as they got a council house, days of big families have gone because people can’t afford them and the less well don’t get the same benefits they used to.
My ex used to work in the x ray dept, some Mothers used to be beaming when they found out their very young teenage daughter was expecting and couldn’t wait to get a photo of the scan.

When GB Energy (or whatever Starmer's new wind-up power company is called) lease the seabed off Crown Estates, Charlie will be rubbing his hands again as his share of the Crown Estate profits gives him another increase in the Sovereign Grant.

It really is the rich creating money for the rich in this country.

I see his latest increase was despite lowering his take home to 12% from 25% or his take for next year would have been over £275M

and so many including the poor are quite happy for the situation to carry on. even an MP voted in by his constituants have to swear allegiance to the crown if they want to speak or vote in the chamber. then the monarch is called just a figure head. a bloody expensive one with indirectly more power than many realise. seems odd that us republicans who might be in a minority are the only minority someone isn,t that quick to respect or push their views.
