I appreciate Blackett's goals have been scored at National League North however he is a natural goal scorer and could cover for Manni D or Grey if either were injured, or out of form or looking for a goal late on. Is Bailey Adamson one of the trialists ?

Picked the right game for my annual trip to a friendly! Mani scoring for fun, Mancini looking like the player he was a year ago, Dodds and Fergie very secure and the big centre back trialist looks worth signing. The new midfield vey industrious and pressing hard like they’re supposed to. Blackett for Shields could have had a couple - quick and good movement

Would expect after what's been a long close season that the players will be picking up niggly injuries as they work towards getting fully fit and ready for the season ahead, we're doing the right thing and resting them rather than playing them in meaningless friendlies.

It's just warning signs for when we play better quality opposition.

yes, more than likely parkes would have played also if it was a league fixture. being injured and having a slight knock are two far different things.

Just saw some highlights of Dixon saves…common theme ball over the top catches out slow defenders up too high, really hope some common sense to the approach is applied before the season starts
