A police car just shoot up our street at a crazy speed. Obviously I cannot give a accurate speed but it had to be over 60 in my opinion We live in a quiet area with houses on both sides and children playing outside. These goons are no better than the idiots they chase absolute clowns. We have had many speeding cop cars up the street over the years but none this fast in my opinion but all way too fast for a town street.

if you were in serious danger and someone had called them for you i doubt you,d only worry if they were slow to respond. same with fire engines and ambulances. if i needed any of the 3 a high speed response is the last of my concerns. at times they cannot do right. slated when they do not attend and slated if they react quick to a situation.

I was out in my preserved police car last night seeing how fast it would go and I saw nowt. :shock….

Funny you should mention that found Dixon of Dock Green on the telly and recorded it…I’ve watched worse on TV nowadays.

Accy I found out they had chased a couple in a car from around the corner from us . Apparently they passed on the A179 in opposite directions and by the time the police car had turned around and followed on blues the couple had turned into our estate gone up our street and turned left to go home. It turned out to be a false alarm because the car registered has having no insurance but it was fully insured when renewed 2 days before. After all the checks the police simply pulled away without a word of apology But I estimate they done 60 mph up our quiet street with children playing around Are you saying that is acceptable because we are dealing with the police It was a possible vehicle with no insurance not a madman with a dangerous weapon The police can also not have it both ways...if they want to chase a car like this then please respond to all emergencies this way not just the easy fine easy money making jobs. And while I am at it arrest the " stolen untaxed uninsured unsave unlicensed " twats on so called motor bikes. Just watched 3 go into Tesco to get fuel and they did actually pay but why is this even allowed I followed them out to the traffic lights ( on red ) but they simply went through and turned left towards the roundabout ...then guess what a police van was waiting to come out of the McDonalds junction and did foooooookallllllllllllll.

its a bit of a pick and mix for sure what they do chase. problem is they can chase uninsured off road motor bikes who are breaking more laws than you can think of but have little chance in a car to catch them. cannot remember the last time i saw a copper on a bike which is whats needed.

Thing is they have plenty of motor bikes and scramblers so no excuse at all. It would be easy to put plain undercover cars around town to follow the thugs back to there houses. Then arrest them take the bikes away and hopefully jail them. I would then get the council to at least threaten them with eviction. Its not rocket science is it.

no but it takes time as well as money to do it when there is loads of other things they could be doing as well. these bikes are not everywhere and a blitz on them for a couple of weeks would catch the majority of them and crushing em and a heavy sentance would deter them again and the rest. then go onto another area with the same problem. at the moment off roaders have to be bloody unlucky to get court anywhere in the country. Far easier picking up 3 points for speeding a bit on the A19 in north yorkshire than them finding anyone who commits rural crime in their area.

I thought the police station had moved recently when I passed McDonalds and four police vehicles were in a queue of 6 vehicles going through the drive through A friends daughter works there and she said they are always going through and it's free to the Police. No wonder we have so many fat unfit coppers. Your right though it does take time to queue up and then eat the freebies. But your wrong about the money bit.

like us at work they are allowed to eat and they,d be fools to chuck away a free meal or anything free that coppers have always found somewhere since robert peel. very few jobs around where there are no free perks if you kno where to find them.

One thing for sure Accy you will never convert me into liking these people despite having a couple of friends in the Police. I have personally witnessed so so much badness and not a great lot of goodness over the years. I suppose everyone will have different opinions depending on experiences.

Take the Police away entirely. That'll show em.

Walked through Morpeth town centre yesterday lunchtime - 7 (seven!) police cars parked behind Sandersons Arcade.

well they have unless you go to a match or drive a car to see if they are not fiction of the tele. my earlier comment about north yorkshire cops will prove that.

People need to keep their cars legal, stop driving like pricks and stop being arseholes at the match. That might make Police more visible elsewhere.

Them feral types would think twice if they had a Police Rover 3500 up their backsides!!
