Or he legit just wants to get things right? not everyone automatically sees a negative in everything like yourself .. This is what happens to small clubs with Sugar Daddy owners when the money dries up.

clubs trying to push on from their natural level giving the support they get which is limited to how far it will go up and rely on away fans and a sugar daddy to keep em going. harrogate, salford, accrington, fleetwood etc.etc. and we are stuck a league below em all but with a good chance of passing them ll by because at least we do not rely on one man and his wallet where those would drop like a stone with a pools type ownership.

As ever, us fans don't really know anything about the playing staff budget that the Pools manager has go to work with. You'd like to think it reflects the potential ticket income that our club has, but only a chump would want Raj to behave like the Woking chairman:

"I think we had higher expectations than we should have had in terms of commercial revenue and also in terms of making a run in the FA Cup or FA Trophy - those are very important to covering your projective losses," he said.

"And we didn't have that this past year, we had basically nothing."

Gambling with your budget on a cup run is gross stupidity. In the promotion season Challinor was rewarded by results on the pitch - Raj found a bit extra when it was needed because we were already doing well in the league.

I remember Hodcroft saying he was concerned by the lack of commercial backing from companies around the town. And that was during our " Golden Era ".

Sarll will be under no illusions about how trigger happy Raj is and he's either confident in his ability to do well with the resources available to him, or he's an utter moron in taking an impossible job, or he's taken the job but been lied to about the resources which would be available to him. I don't know ow much about the fella but I sincerely think he's here for the first option and it works out.

With average crowds of 2717 for last season, I’d expect them to be a bit careful with their cash.
None of their gates has passed the 2700 mark.

for a club with no league history their gates are quite good really especially with other clubs not too far from them with decent transport links to them. they can see the prize of league 2 football on the horizon with a little bit more investment but like so many it does not happen but they,ll keep on trying. better knowing your place in the big scheme of football and not bankrupting yourself to be something you are not really cut out for.
