Was he one of the trialists yesterday?

He is a Centre mid fielder aged 20 yrs old. Been with Grimsby all his career so far but was loaned to Whitby in 2022 and to Stafford Rangers in 23. He made three League Two appearances. Not sure if he is what we need.

Thanks for that Ozzy- think you maybe right, we don't want passengers, who are not at the level, taking up a wage. We've had quite a few of them in recent seasons

Think he scored the 3rd goal at West Auckland.
Massive gamble trialists.
Some people think taking Mancini on guarantees us success.
Like I say they are gambles.
Mancinis fitness/injury problems comes into play big style.
As it stands now Gunna need a shit load of games from him n Manny D 70+ to even think about the top 7.
On recruitment looks like the proper signings have ended and we relying on.
Trialists
Loanies.
Open window left over shite.
Biggest investment will be luck.
It's Deffo Gunna be a weird season with lots of permutations and opinions.
What will be will be.
UTP.

i,d have been more interestd in the lad if he had been loaned out to a team in our league rather than ones much lower in the pyramid. if he had been that good i,m sure he would have been.

Probably can't believe his luck getting trial games for the Mighty HUFC.

I'm predicting we take 2 loanies on before the season starts.
Probably on the 9th August to save a few weeks wages. bbolt

It was Bailey Adamson who scored the 3rd goal against West Auckland. Braithwaite didn't stand out at all, as stated by others D'Mani Mellor was by far the best of the trialists.

Yeh the lad from Lincoln - think he notched 2 against FC aswell.

Again we need better - cannot believe after the recruitment we have had and the way things have went we are left with these released academy lads. Mellor did okay yeh against poor oppo. But there is still wingers out there from this level without clubs which i feel would be better for us than these kids with no experience. Hope these are just lads to fill the bench and maybe ones for the future.

be very interesting to see what loanees come through the door as looks to me thats the way we going to be going again to get any real talent in

I didn’t think teams played with wingers anymore apart from Spain with great effect.

A rare breed nowadays.
Honour n Dalton were class back in the day.
But Paul Smith world class crosser of the ball.
Guess we were spoilt rotten in that era.
The good old days.
Good memories never fade.

And to where we are now what a fucken Embarrassment. :angry-tappingfoot:

some work most dont in this game at this level. Always a gem to be had, we unfortunately just never seem to find them.

lost count over the last 10 years or so how many non league duds we have had !

should actually make a list that i can refer to every season when this topic raises its ugly head
