It’s getting right on my nerves how everybody is assuming England really are gonna win, I’m a bit wary.
Even more annoying is those people who have no interest in football who are suddenly talking as though they never miss a match….a bit like in the days when the FA Cup Final mattered and some clown at work who has no interest in football would give you his in depth summary of the match and all the time you just felt like electrocuting him.

could not agree more and it will only get much worse after the game if england won it. the big winners though are the ones jumping on the band wagon and making as much money out of these part timers as possible. its only another game of football and not wanting an england win does not make you a russian or chinese spy.

I have been an unrelenting critic of Southgate but still want England to win. If we lose, the silver lining will be the end of Southgate.

I tend to ignore the ‘band wagon jumpers’ in favour of the millions of people who really are football lovers who are excited about this final. Come on England!!!

I am not that sure. I have been very impressed by Spain throughout. I think they have an extra gear although we do too. Southgate has been heavily criticised and i think he has been holding back although tonight he might open up a lot more in the second half with the likes of Gordon and Palmer.

Bundling 11 great players into a team doesn’t make a great team unfortunately. Kane is a great player but not in the role he’s been asked to play at the Euros so far.
In the lone striker role I think Toney would do a better job, the blame if you can call it that lies with not only Southgate but also his coaching staff.

He has to be sacked or resign.

I got increasingly uneasy as Sunday wore on with people who know Jack shit about footy talking up England as though a win was a certainty, a walk in the grass, a case of turning up to celebrate victory…….it wasn’t.

Southgates loyalty to certain players, who always start on their reputations certainly weren’t firing on all cylinders and it was the subs that got us this far.

Probably better for Kane to stay in Germany after his performances, he would get loads of stick from the fans here, he should have been on the bench after the first game.

Totally agree about his loyalty to certain players, Kane was abysmal throughout, Trippier too should've taken a fit LB, Foden was anonymous throughout the tournament bar the 2st half against Holland, Walker made some great recovery tackles but he was caught out of position and poor defensively imo going forward he was terrible with his crosses.
Players who should definitely have featured more imo were Toney, Gordon, Trent as full back not midfield ffs, Watkins, Palmer, Bowen, what's the point of a huge squad if you only use the same 16 or 17 players over 7 games.
Not unlucky just not good enough from the ma ager, must be so easy for opposing managers to set up to play us we never change.
