Perfect example why we are all stupid and everything needs to change. We let this lot play out yet another pantomime at huge cost to the tax payer. When is this stupidity going to end. banghead

The new Government gained a massive majority but the number of votes cast for them was not a lot higher than they got in 2019, which was described as their worst performance since 1935.
The right of politics by splitting their vote between Conservatives, Reform, Libdems and abstentions handed this massive victory to Labour. I get the impression that they deliberately engineered this under the expectation that Labour would flounder under the weight of responsibility this massive victory gives them, and fail miserably, thus giving the right another three terms or more.
It is too icredible to be just chance, it has to have been deliberate.
I suppose time will tell whether this path of change will be change for the better or not.
The only problem is who is going to be left with the bill if it all goes tits up.
Of course Labour might do a fantastic job and they must be given that chance.

Since when have the lib dems been on the right? They're centre to centre left.

No idea. Never said they were. I'm referring to the people who deserted the Tories and where they put their X. Quite a number voted Lib Dems. They've been doing it for years in by elections but this time have done it in a general election. They'll return to type don't worry, they always do.
By "right of politics" I'm referring to people who normally vote Tory.
Sorry if I've confused you.

Well for starters we need to end these very old fashioned very expensive pantomimes. We probably have millions of people in poverty now yet we spend millions on these stupid unnecessary parades. I personally would do away with the Royal Family and the House of Lords. Its time to rid this country of these very silly highly expensive mediaeval pantomimes and spend the money on the NHS etc etc.

Chucking more and more money at the NHS is just wasteful, the more they get the more they waste. The whole institution needs reform to become more effective and efficient.
Politicians talk about improving the economy by boosting productivity while they preside over totally inept and mismanaged public services.

I am not overly bothered who benefits from the money but it needs diverting away from this lot either way.

Definitely needs reforming but by whom, bring in a a private consultation team, it would take years to unravel and cost millions. There would a few redundancies in the non medical staff I would expect, the NHS is one of the biggest employers in the world according to statistics.
Always makes me laugh when they say to boost the economy we need to increase productivity, does that mean we all have to work harder ?

Exactly, are they expecting people to go into a life sapping work frenzy and accept a pay cut to make things better for the accountants….?

Cutting waste gives the biggest bang for your buck when you're looking to improve productivity. Maybe government ministers should set an example within their own remit before making demands of those of us in the real world.

i,ll second it but not to compare it to a pantomime. They give you a laugh, that farce is just a wind up.

its the sacred cow which people in general still love but will spend everything they have to keep it going. mind you all we want is a doctors appointment and quick hospital appointments if needed and not rainbow crossings or those working in diversity and inclusion.
