with Mancini?

I know he has to churn out a dozen articles a week in his new job with the Fail but it's getting beyond a joke how often he bangs on about the "enigmatic" Anthony Mancini and his "uncertain future" at the Vic. If he's done it once this summer he's done it 20 times. Thought he might finally knock it on the head when Mancini reported back for pre-season but he's at it again today - in an article about leading goalscorers in the NL!

If you think you know something, spit it out - otherwise give it a rest man - it's boring. And while you're at it, get yerself a Thesaurus.

You sound quite vexed Mr Hogan's!

Maybe it's a bit of reverse psychology, to help ward off potential suitors.

To be fair we signed him on a free from Accrington- so they clearly weren't feeling the same love as we do for our midfield montego!

And as you alluded to in your post RS will have a quota that he needs to fulfil - which can't be easy this summer given the season ended in April. Maybe he's trying to temper the fanbase should he not be in the starting eleven, come the start of the season, plus he's been in and around the training ground so will have seen potentially how were likely to set up come the start of the season.

Up to now in the short time he's been here, I think Stelling is an absolutely awful reporter, most of his stuff is simply copied from the various interviews by Radio Tees or the clubs media bloke, all he does is copy it down and split it in to smaller chunks which he then drip feeds out as seperate articles. Some of the other shite he's put out like 'Who Pools could sign this summer', are just simply lists of players that have been released by various clubs, there's little or no substance as to why Pools should sign them, just that they are available. The few times I have heard him speak/do interviews, he's just as bad, I suspect he's trying to live off his old fella's name a bit, his Dad is a good talker, the young'un isn't.

Maybe its time to liven things up a bit for starters he could ask Steve Howard when the time is right for a return? Or, how about beefy Bob on the road Newton. Any suggestions welcome.

For a start he could try doing a bit of digging into who was representing the club in our first preseason friendly, as Inspector Morse would have his work cut out with that one, so far we have:-
1. Really tall bloke
2. Blonde guy
3. Rasta guy
4. Reasonably tall guy
5. Guy who looked like one of the Academy
6. Dreadlock guy
7. Left footed guy
8. Dark haired guy
9. Afro guy.
10. Man bun guy
11. Quiff guy
12. Buzz cut guy
13. Crew cut guy
14. Braid guy
15. Pompadour guy......etc etc

its just one mans opinion of a player and we can agree or not. just because its in print does not make it more important than someone sat next to you but more know about it thats all.

No, it's not "just one man's opinion." Rob Law and Robbie Stelling are journalists who are PAID to report on Pools (Law covers the Boro as well). Fans are entitled think they know what they're talking about and have information to share which is based on facts not speculation. Rob Law is worth following on X because he does exactly that (e.g. Pools aren't interested in Ellis Taylor and have had no contact with him, they are interested in Mark Beck but he's injured at the minute).

As someone else has said, Stelling seems to spend most of his time recycling stuff that has already appeared elsewhere (usually the OS) and passing comment on it. Apart, that is, from spending the summer insinuating that Mancini might not be coming back to Pools after all - based on what exactly? Now that Mancini IS back and doing pre-season training with the rest of the squad he's still at it. "Uncertain future?" - he might get another injury, he might not be a regular starter under Sarll. That's not news, it's crystal ball gazing - something any us can do.

like you said they are journalists where many just do not report facts alone but put their own spin on them. what next, believe everything we read.
