Both have been nominated for damehoods, what significant contributions have either of them brought to the U.K. ?

Waiting till Starmer comes out with the usual drivel. " Tories have left the countries finances in a worse state that first thought " " We didn't give you the idea we would sort all the problems, so don’t expect us to " " The mess the Tories have left is going to take two terms to solve " " We have no alternative but to put taxes up to sort this financial mess " " Don't blame Labour because it was you the public who allowed this party to stay in power " " Tough times lay ahead we must all suffer in the short term, to allow our great nation to climb from poverty " " It's not going to be popular but someone has to make these necessary decisions now to guard against our future ". Blah Blah Blah Same horse different rider. banghead You can imagine the laughs and giggles this lot have over 50 course lunch with champagne & caviar and Starmer sat next to his mate and fellow criminal Sunak. rakxe

May yes but never Coffey (she was about as effective as our very own Jill Mortimer)

Bye bye Jill.

May gets a peerage to the House of Lords and Coffey a damehood, equivalent to a knighthood. Too early for May and unwarranted for Coffey who hasn't done anything of note.

Not going to happen, the Tories will regroup and come back stronger as they always do, the Tory voters who jumped ship will come as well, Reform will be a flash in the pan, history, let’s be honest Reform voters helped Labour secure the huge majority by voting Reform.

the tories and reform will have to shelve their differences and join up to form an SDP type of party created by the gang of four in the 80,s to unite the right. thing is labour will not have to be actually brilliant running the country in the next 5 years as the bar has been set so low. at the worst if they only made half those who voted for them happy that will be far more than the tories have over the last 5 years.

I was surprised by Sunaks comments about Starmer saying "he is a decent man dedicated to public service". This seems to go beyond the usual "good luck" type comment departing PMs make.
Perhaps he wished he had that type of person in his Cabinet and party with a swipe to Boris Johnson and the like.

Reform actually got almost as many votes as Conservatives, if they rid themselves of the racist tag they'll make themselves delectable at the next GE. There's no doubt that Farage has a better handle on the mood of the general population than any other party imo.

That’s why none of the 2 parties would want to change the voting system.

Reform is a limited company with 3 directors of whom 2 are Tice and Farage. Its not like the other parties who have proper constitutions.Lets see where the money comes from and goes to and as they are now MPs they will have to declare lots of information about their personal finances which should be interesting
What policies does it have about anything except immigration. Asking for a friend.

they had plenty of policies but many only wish to read one. the one though that the vast majority agree with including many who voted for the other partys. whether they could have afforded to impliment there other wishes is another matter though.
