Putting a new pack of dog poo bags in the car and noticed they are made in China.
Which begs the question why aren’t we making things like that over here anymore.
There’s lots of basic simple products we import from around the world that could be easily made here, providing jobs and product security in times of need, but most of all creating new light industries for everything from batteries to matches.

Those blue box chemical ones I would think similar what we had on the sites, this is from the Festival main site,
Glastonbury Festival has a variety of toilet types and all are cleaned at least once a day.

This nothing to do with the Industrial Revolution.
Why can’t we pay a decent wage to work in a factory producing basics….?
If you think about it, anyone buying these products from the Chinese paying slave wages is no better than them for colluding in the deal.

I went to Glastonbury in 1984 which had covered thunder boxes with a massive hole in the ground. As the days progressed the shit rose and rose until it was only a few feet under you.
Also the stream that ran through the site was greeny/yellow.
Its not like the good old days now.

Call me odd, but if I’m buying a poo bag I want a decent bag.
I never buy the cheapest, always middle of the range stuff.
The cheapest is asking for trouble.

In the late seventies we were on holiday in the Peak District and went to some sheep dog trials. The unisex 'toilets' was along a walkway screened with corrugated metal sheets. The lavs themselves turned out to be a couple of big buckets overflowing with shit, piss and flies. Thank God it was a one day event

I remember driving for the Ferry back from the Isle of Wight when the festival was on, been raining overnight and some attendees were walking into Newport down the side of the road and their clothes were wringing wet on one side of their body from sleeping in their tent with no groundsheet.
