Well the giant Carlisle keeper is going back to Europe to play for his next team.

What’s with this Land of the Giants King Kong size keepers…..best keeper we had in my mind, was Kevin Poole, hardly a giant

plus some so called small lads who did a good job in the nets for us. think its a cross between people getting taller in the last 50 odd years and fashion. its not as if todays giants command their area either.

I will always remember Kevin Poole pulling off worldy after worldy down at Stockport County on a Tuesday night in a game we somehow won. He was a terrific goalkeeper. The other I really liked was Harper another brilliant keeper.

Every pub absolutely bouncing round the town that Saturday night.
I suppose that's why we do it being a Poolie.

Yup,for the first 30 mins Stockport battered us,then little Jackie whips in a great cross & bang,ball hits the back of the net,from a Bakes header.

and i had to miss it after all the years of going there and seen us defeated and some by large margins. people wonder why i think i,m a bloody jinx as cardiff and bristol says it all. if we ever get to wembley i,m sure i,ll swerve it.
