This taken from the French Post...
Anthony Mancini has joined the French Space Programme (FSP), and is launching off from the Toulouse Space Center next week on a five year mission, to explore strange new Worlds, seek out new civilizations and to boldly go where no man/women or they have gone before.....

Been a lot of speculation that maybe he wasn't but the statements that matter are the two on the OS - the one for the Retained List that said Pools were exercising their option of another year on his contract and the one last Thursday quoted by Pitlad.

Just got to hope he has a good pre-season, stays fit and is played in his best position. Same wishes for Doddsy really.

Having these two back full time would make all the difference next season but i feel we cant rely on them. They are cream on the cake but we need a solid squad who are competent without them.

I agree. Will take Dodds quite a while to get back to the player he was, even when fully fit. The same with Mancini. We cant expect miracles from them.

When and if they are both fully fit they are Deffo better than non league players.
We have to take advantage of that situation.

No reason why both can't come back and have good seasons. Mancini was over his serious hamstring injury then picked up a groin injury. Never heard of a groin injury ending a career.
Dodds says he's been running and building up strength for quite a while now so on the right track.
A good pre season and a few friendliescshould ease them back to where we want them to be. It may actually be the mental aspect which affects them more than the physical until they get a few games under their belts.

two players who were more or less out for the season with injuries other players must have received during their careers. if everything is right with their heads there is no reason neither can be the same players again. its again pools fans expecting the worst again. surely its time for our luck to change even if you do not class injured players coming back is luck but expected.

sounds like Dodds is being careful and sensible in his approach reading the latest article from the club.

i hope we dont rush him back because we have not got anyone at RB. Sarrl aint no idiot and can see him being clever with the whole Dodds and Mancini situation ! Mancini himself will also not want another season like last and will be cautious himself !

if we can get another attack minded CM in (which i also think we need for rotation and the bigger bench scenario now). Then Mancini shouldnt be rushed back nor forced into playing games he doesnt feel ready for !

great news--my favorite player of the last few years, use him properly with what we have added and I may get optimistic for the season!

Stephenson? Turned in some very promising performances at the end of last season and is only going to get better as puts on more muscle, strength and experience.

hope so, but could also do a joe grey and take one step backwards before going two forward due to his age, lack of experiance or the club trying to bulk him up a bit intread of allowing him to grow at his own pace which he will.

Stephenson isn't ready for a prolonged run in the team yet, needs more time and experience which he'll probably get from the bench this season. I'd be happy enough if Hendry came back as defensive cover.

agree about hendry. he started to play well before he got injured. that was last season in a nutshell and we still finished in a reasonable position no matter what shit was thrown at them and us.
