Arriva are altering services from Hartlepool to Sunderland….in future, you will get a bus to Peterlee and then catch another bus to Sunderland…one service replaced by two…one fare replaced by two…use the train.
Services seem to be getting worse, more expensive, yet they want to us to give up our cars, as Labour will be following the 2030 net zero deadline five years ahead of the Tory’s which was bad enough.

Well it’ll take a lot longer as you wait for your connection in the delights of Peterlee International Interchange….for twice the price and triple the inconvenience.

The loooooong 36 bus journey to the Boro must be the only bus ride that leaves you needing a shave when you get off…and that’s just women, kids have had birthday party’s on it.
Made even longer still by going into Teesside Park and now the Amazon site up Wynyard……if you’re doing the the full ’voyage’, take some food and a change of clothes.

Bloody hell, there's another huge Amazon warehouse on the A688 just outside Coxhoe - about 9 miles from Wynyard! It's like an alien takeover. How much tax should those bastards be paying on their profits while they're shutting down high streets all over the country?

possibly its the same bus that goes to sunderland so its main passengers, pensioners, might not need to get off. we have a similar one where the bus used to have an accrington destination but now it shows burnley but still goes all the way to accrington with its destination changes in burnley. heard the odd arsy driver empties his bus in burnley then moves to the accrington stand which is his right.

Best to take the number 1 to the Boro. Some great views of the marshes/industry.
And yes electric bike via the transporter............if it ever opens again.

Having two companies operating across tees-side is a joke with duplicate services etc. Surely king Ben should sort this.

The operative word there is "if" Mr Gee. Jamie would tell us that his grandad built it and he himself rewired it. I think he would have Ben Houchen in there as well, maybe as the bridge operator, so he could assess the scrap value at close quarters. On the other hand some kind soul such as yourself might have explained what it was and a couple of months down the line jamie would regurgitate what you told him as an expert on such bridges, as Thailand has one on every corner don't ya know.
An example of this is contained in his vast knowledge apertaining to the Staincliffe and Seaton itself.
The conversation would end up with jamie swearing blind that he never made the enquiry and that everybody was picking on him, to which you would emphatically agree and the circle would be complete. All that would be missing is the brass band. :o :shifty: :o

I’d give him that one, he wired it up in 1911.
Right, Jamie made a post earlier today which I replied to, never took the piss, just normal as I have quite a few times on his normal posts..if you bother to check.
But when he tells me something I know to be true about apprenticeships and changes the script everyday for the worst and straight facts are mocked you realise normal conversations are pointless.

Those 2 replies don't deserve a reply but I will just because I've known you two for years. Snowy for about 35 years and Derwent for about 25 years.
Both of you have changed...and not for the good. Its a shame...honestly it is.

If you haven't read our replies to your blatant contradictory posts, how do you know whether they are goading you??? You would have to read them in order to come to that decision. Unless your cat read them for you and miaowed in your ear.

I think it is around 18 years in my case, as my wife was with me in the pub where we met you before an away game in the London area and she didn't start going to away games until 2006 but hey ho it matters not, except for accuracy.
As for Snowy and me changing.
For a start we haven't changed our usernames since you stormed out in a hissy fit and then came back later as Dustin Gee and not as your old username. You were welcomed back by me.
So who is it that has actually changed. Why sneak back in when as your previous username you were a celebrity loved by us all, including me.
If your posts as DG were lined up together that would reveal a pattern of digs against me or Snowy or both. Was that why you changed your name, to disguise who you were????
When you and I posted together in the past life we both acted the goat in a foul mouthed manner. I decided, when I was appointed moderator, to make an honest attempt to refrain from using colourful language and, in the main, I have lived up to that. It is difficult sometimes but I tried to show an example. I think I can claim success on that front. So that was a change I made. Another change was I tried to reduce the abuse and the place is a lot more civil than it used to be.
As for Snowy, he hasn't changed a bit. He says it as he sees it and long may that continue.
If anybody has changed in his contribution to this board it is you, my friend. And yes I still consider you as a friend. Whether that is reciprocated is entirely up to you.
We could have sorted this out in private but you decided to make it public, so I am defending your accusation in the same manner. As you readily know, I will let you buy me a pint anytime you wish to do so.

Its a job for our regional mayor to work with the newly elected local councils and the new government to get a proper integrated transport policy for the Tees valley that the likes of Manchester has. (Google Bee Network Manchester).
The question is if the Mayor and the rest can put party politics aside to get this trans formative change done.
Apparently the mayor has lots of capital funding but little revenue to make it work day to day.
Lets see what our new democratically politicians can do.

I always prefer reason and debate with a bit of humour thrown in to say what I believe,
I don’t recall ever using abusive language or threatening anybody, but if anyone is gonna prod the crocodile with a stick, be it on their head.
I’m not gonna change and haven’t changed at all….but trying to hold a sensible conversation with someone who thinks Isambard Kingdom Brunel is an electrical contractor in Bahrain is like reasoning with a turnip…..but you have to try.
It’s a message board, there are no protected species, but we only use words and debate, no on ends up stuffed above the fireplace.

Where did I mention Brunei was an Electrical Contractor have a look at a map of the world Snowy., problem with you Snowy is you hare some one to get one over on you.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunei
What also gets to you Snowy and Derwent is Electricians in the past including myself have made a very good living in your terms of being ‘dilutees’ and some still are. Neither of you have any insight of the Electrical Industry and how it operated in the past or even now.
Just think all the time electrical installation on the Nuclear Power Stations, Oil and Gas Rigs and Petrochemical complexes etc was done by ‘dilutees’

There you go again making assumptions. Show me where I have mentioned "dilutees". How have they got to me. I have never knowingley met one. Is anybody on here a dilutee electrician.
Where have I mentioned Electricians wages. If they earn a lot of money good luck to them, nowt to do with me. Where have I let that get to me
You're confusing yourself now.

What happened to your statement that you didn't read our posts ????

You wanna read back the shite you post before you press the submit button, that's after you've properly read the posts you are making hopeless attempts to comment on.
You've gorra be on a wind up, nobody is as thick as you're making yourself out to be, or are you. Maybe you just naturally type the first thing that comes into yer silly head.
Why did you bring in your so called scientific quote about ice cream salesmen and their lack of a city and guilds certificate. sctatchinghead
