Just been in the club shop to buy a shirt. I asked how season tickets are going and the woman said they doing really well we are very busy. I asked her roughly how many had sold, and she said I am one of two people who sell them but I haven't had a chance to check amounts lately because I'm that busy selling them. I thought each ticket had a serial number so it should have been easy to know. I was in the shop 15 minutes and nobody came in and no phone calls. I thought I would give it one more try and asked if she thought numbers are up or down on last year's total so far. Answer very cagey " Like I said they doing really really well and it's getting even busier as the month goes on " sctatchinghead I didn't believe a single word of it.

I questioned the other week in the shop and was told don’t believe all the crap on social media, tickets are selling very well as loyal supporters always support their team.

Must be a safe bet they haven't hit 1000 yet otherwise I'm sure they'd have announced it.

Yep and obviously presuming I hadn’t or wasn’t buying a season ticket. I was spending £90 on 2 tops though. The staff are obviously feeling the pressure.

They are really well made and not tight or anything. I normally get the extra large for that extra freedom over the large but this time the large was sound.

They can probobly work out how many they have sold in 2 minutes, so they obviously have been told not to hand out negative news. If they were selling well we would know by now.

Just think if you had bought a ST the shirts would have been just about free if you attended all matches.

If I spend the £275 on lottery tickets and don't win I'll be round yours for a word :angry-tappingfoot: At least with Pools I'm guaranteed - 6 wins? 7 maybe?

I find the extra extra large is okay for me, the short sleeves are a bit tight on my huge muscular biceps, but my 26" neck sometimes gives me trouble putting it on, plenty of room at the bottom also as my heavily toned six pack doesn't show up through the material, the 50" chest nestles nicely around my firm pecs, all in all quite happy with it

I'm simply waiting til the end of the month til people get paid, then I'll get paid (self employed) before buying mine, no other reason other than current cash flow, got to pay off the rest of my holiday, saving a bit for spending money too, tax bill due in July so putting a bit away from that. I know of at least 3 of my mates doing similar, buying one has never been in doubt in all honesty. Everyone I know that had a ST last season is getting or got one for this coming season, I think sales maybe very slightly down, probably more down to individual finances rather than, what is (or isn't) happening behind the scenes. I think there'll be a bit of a surge towards the end of this month then again in the 2 weeks before the big kick-off .

does that mean if you do not buy a season ticket for numerous reasons you are being disloyal to the team. if you buy one will it include a badge with Super Fan on it and blue and white underpants to wear on the outside for games.

Gradually dwindling season after season until lower national league becomes our natural level

We had 5 fucking thousand + when we went back up 2 great cup runs etc, absolutely sustainable to be a top half league 2 team pushing for promotion with some luck and good judgement

That arsehole Hartley appointed by our idiot chairman on a whim managed to flush all that down the shitter in 6 months and we’ll likely never get it back until Raj fucks off and by then it will likely be too late

some truth there even though raj is not the worst owner the club has ever had. think thats where the problem lies with many. the fear of him leaving only to be replaced by a similar or even worse a person or group. must admit i,m one who thinks that way as you always now expect the worst and not the best to happen at pools.

I would just like to question BPs usual negative outlook on attendence at Pools. When we got promoted our average was4304, then 4479 last last season was4049. Obviously down owing to lack of away supporters you get in our league. The 5000+ gates were generally one off cup games boosted by large away followings

5000 plus gates we got on quite a few occassions in league 2 with hardly any away support. Games against Harrogate northampton etc. We had nearly 6000 for Newport on a friday night. Last season we pulled in over 5000 for Gateshead and would of done a fair bit if we were near the top. We are losing support because the people involved at pools dont have a scooby do how to run a club or take advantage when things are going well.

Its very little to do with away support. Infact you wouldnt even know the club was open if it wasnt for rose posing in the odd picture wirh some random sponsors, ao how on earth do they expect to build crowds, you have to bull things up publicise that we are actually kicking off in 6 weeks.

You can also add forest green rovers and Crawley to crowds over 5000 and they are hardly known for bringing big numbers

Darlo are buzzing with selling 600. It shows the potential we have when were saying how bad sales are going when 2500 is deemed as poor.

BP quote one off matches over a number of seasons the Crawley game was a’life or death ‘ game. Just google Pools attendances over the past years and apart from the odd occasion the past three are quite comparable and better than quite a few.

even a bad pools gate would have thought of as being a good one at one time.

The crawley game of 510 was our first game back in the league. We pulled in 5600 for the visit of forest green who had about 20 at the game 3 months later. Crowds at pools have changed massively over last 5 years or so. Gone are the days of sub 2000 crowds and dodgy turnstyles

BP you are cherry picking odd matches over a number of seasons. Again I say Google Pools match attendences for season averages over the past 15 or so years and our past three years are comparable to most and better than some. Stop picking odd games where there might have been reasons for the big attendances.

You've got to laugh when people on here criticise the club constantly even when nothings happening, even making stuff up about budgets, how poor future signings are going to be, ......... then complain that STs are not going well and the club are doing nothing to encourage sales. Oh the irony!

Nothing is happening.
That's why a tad of criticism is going about.
But if it makes ya laff then good on ya.
:text-lol: :text-woo:
St sales are an indicator to the non ambition of the club since DC achieved a minor miracle.

Reality or made up shit.
And were the new talent.
We cutting that fine as usual.

BP you are cherry picking odd matches over a number of seasons. Again I say Google Pools match attendences for season averages over the past 15 or so years and our past three years are comparable to most and better than some. Stop picking odd r where there might have been reasons for the big attendances.

The point was that the buffoonery of those running the club in recent years has potentially caused people to be fed up and not buy season tickets. It is as simple as that.

If there is lots to criticise then there will be lots of criticism.

We need signings so that we might not to be bang average next season like we were last season. Until there are signings, we are very likely going to be bang average next season. That is worrying as we all know how frustrating it is when Pools are bang average so one can understand the worry and one can understand why people might not want to commit themselves to such pain. The club, as a business, must realise they've let down their customers and should do something to win them back.
