you cannot blame fans for holding out in buying them after the last couple of seasons. actually the club could make more money with fans paying on the day if gates do hold up than having more season ticket holders and less paying on the day. if the team is winning and doing well fans will turn up its as simple as that.

To be honest the early bird ticket only saves you about twenty odd pounds so little encouragement but it saves you well over £100 pound if you go to all games (or 5/6 games free) and an even better deal for under 18s. All I know is the supports I talk to have or will be renewing.

I think we'll be going with a 22 or 23 man squad but that will include the kids who've just signed pro contracts. The 5 signings need to be automatic picks and capable of playing at least 30 games this season imo.

Well for me it's all about the players we sign and how they perform, having the highest budget doesn't mean you'll win the league 2nd highest budget you come 2nd etc
Haven't heard any excuses for slow signings because frankly the club are very quiet on all fronts apart from new sponsorship deals at the moment.
The only reason we're behind Barnet in the league is because B is before H alphabetically so I for one am not embarrassed in the slightest right now - that may change by the end of August though!

Latest rumours about players from some non league paper. Adam campbell and some farsley celtic goalkeeper, probobly nonsense and we sign someone no ones heard of but least theirs a rumour we might get someone.

Can't speak for Campbell but Zan-Luk Leban is the goalkeeper. He was on loan at Farsley last season from Everton and is very highly rated. We are definitely in for him (I mentioned him last week at some point on here) but so are a lot of other teams

i,d take finishing 7th now but not a single place below that. all that would mean is playing two away games and not just one at home to make the final if we finished 2nd or 3rd.

If Pools are really trying to sign another striker as well as Charman it makes you wonder if the club is open to offers for our current front two.

Twenty plus goals a season strikers will always create interest from other clubs and everyone has their price. I would be very surprised if there haven't been at least a few enquiries, so I would expect the club to be considering their options should any deal be forthcoming.
Personally I have always thought it prudent to have four strikers on the books and, as a matter of interest, four centre backs as well.
Although, in this league where there is the option of loans at virtually any time, it is considered less imperative.

if we are going to rely on loans then we are doomed. in recent years only burey, armstong and kemp made a difference and were worth the bother. even the likes of agyamang looked better than they were when compared to the rest on show and our kids were no worse than other teams ones infact they were better.

If mancini isnt the same player then id take 19th the midfield looks weak as piss and lets remember the same defence was conceding 2 to 3 a week. Add to that we lost a player in cooke who a lot said was a serious miss when he wasnt playing. Obviously were still going to bring in players so things can change but at the minute the team first 11 looks ridiculously weak.

Adam Campbell born North Shields played 2 games for Pools in 2014. He is striker / winger the thing is he only scored 7 goals in 42 games at Crawley so he struggled. When he has played football league level he struggles to score. In total he scored 16 goals in 157 games for 6 clubs. But in National leagues he scored 44 in 126 games for 2 clubs. Maybe he is a good fit for the National league Especially when you consider he really only started to score goals aged 25 / 26 yrs old and at 29 yrs old he should do a decent job for Pools if signed. He is supposedly in negotiations with Crawley.

sounds a better fit for us than playing at league 1 level as a crawley bench warmer.

Campbell fits into a front 3 well, or at least he did for us.

The goalie from Leicester wasn't bad or Cass or even Brad James. Salad cream from Walsall was decent. The trick is getting the loans right. Very few clubs at our level rely only on permanent signings.
The ones during KP's reign weren't up to much like. I also would prefer to give our kids a chance first.
