Mortgage your house, put the missus on the streets, sell your kids and your spare organs and lump on - you may get enough to buy Raj out?

You could put next months wages on and win the EuroMillions. Buy Raj out and put your own stamp on Pools.

Can't see there being a runaway team this season which will be a bit of a leveller across the division. We probably need to lose half a dozen fewer games than last season to make play offs. Should be doable.

i,m expecting a play off position now. unless we have even more bad luck with injuries to the wrong players surely that is the minimum we should be expecting. remember us playing chesterfield off the park at their place until mancini went off and that was without dodds in the side. with a bigger squad and better loanees we could have done the play offs last season.

Agree, once we lost Dodds and Mancini then Seaman's form took a huge dip we lost the ability to drive forward and reverted to backwards and sideways keep ball with no positive end result. If we'd maintained a bit more forward driving and aggressiveness without resorting to trying to defend single goal leads we probably would have made the play offs.
Hopefully a big change of style or at least the capability of changing plan and tactics during a game is coming, and not too soon.

My prediction on next year's champions are.

The team who finishes at the top in 1st. Which we have a 1 in 24 chance of doing :uhoh:

Truth is that no one has a clue. Half the teams have not been formed yet and Pools at the moment only have a five a side team.

FG have signed Knowles one of Walsalls best midfielders. He turned down a new contract and joined FG despite being a major player for past two years at Walsall.

Jamie Osborne ( possibly the best midfielder in this league ) has signed a new long term contract at Solihull. He is 32yrs old now but still managed to get what Solihull call a long term contract. sctatchinghead

thats a big reason to play the game as a pro. you do not drop down the leagues for the fun of it. its either money or not being good enough at that level why its done. knowing we cannot bribe players then i,m not totally taken in by signings of ex league players at the level we are in.

Of the teams that reached the play-offs last season Barnet and Solihull are the ones showing most intent in the transfer market. I think they're bound to be there or thereabouts again next season.

Sutton have signed some decent players too - no real household NL names but good lads from the teams below. Id imagine they will re find their feet at this level and finish in the top half

really they are one of the better NL sides, decent gates, seem well run and not bankrupted themselves having a short period of time as a league club. could see em a bit of a yo yo club between the NL and league 2. If only pools could yo yo between league 2 and 1 again.

Sutton may end up being the NL version of West Brom you are right.

Solihull will be a team to beat again this season an so will Yeovil
