Why couldn't we have groundshared with them?

Because this is the first stage of making the Premiership a super league. Start small, were no one notice it and it grows up the leagues until it's to late do do anything about the ELF making decisions over who goes up, due to stupid things.
Well, that's just my opinion bbolt

I did think that myself- there are no issues between the fan bases and would give Pools an excellent revenue stream, with matches every week. Seem to remember we had them play at the Vic for half a dozen games a few years back when their pitch was under water. Don't really see how it would be much different ?sctatchinghead

And assuming the league will allow the fixtures being made to suit each clubs need , sounds like more trouble than it’s worth.

And how would it work when we play them 'away' at the Vic, it just wouldn't, there'd be absolute hell on . Imagine the farce over tickets, about 400 Heed fans occupying 3/4 of the ground and Pools only getting 900 tickets for our own ground. Nah, not for me thanks.

Snowie's got it in a nutshell. We're going to have a lot of home games at the exactly same time as them and if the NL aren't going to let them into the playoffs because of red tape then they're not going to accommodate messing about with kick off times to allow for two games in a day at the same ground.

The Pools playing as an away team at the Vic is a good point too.

It would be like when we had the pitch share with West, the pitch looked like the Somme battlefield long before the end of the season and was never quite rage same going into next season.
Even pitches need a break.

there is something in the back of my mind where it says clubs in the same league cannot groundshare.

Heed season tickets just gone on sale - £350 full price, £250 concession. A lot of dosh when the only thing at stake is whether or not they can avoid relegation.
