Last night on the news the weather forecast chap said that we've just experienced cedvthe warmest Spring and month of May on record!
Am I the only one who doesn't buy that? The past few years in my recollection have been gloriously hot. Farmers and fruit growers are saying that crops are 3 to 6 weeks late due to lack of sunshine and / or too much wet weather.
Or is this msm twisting the truth to drive the climate change "emergency" and push the green agenda?

They have an agenda….it all ties in with the usual suspects….the springtime for me being out with the hounds was abysmal…it was cold and wet…apart from a few days, but people swallow this guff because they think they’re ‘experts’.
It’s to get us all to conform with the green agenda regarding fossil fuels and it’s gonna cost you money and mobility….pity the rest of the world couldn’t give a toss, so we have to act as an example to the rest of the world…someone tell them the Empires gone and Victoria’s passed over….

the answer is a big YES. no matter what the weather or temperature is they,ll twist the figures to serve their purpose. who are actually interested in this climate green crap anyway as i have yet to meet one. its just become a standing joke but the joke will be on us eventually by paying for it all with asia laughing their tits off. like the pro british rally on saturday its time we all stand up and be counted. cannot sit on the fence nowadays as you have to be for or against subjects.

thats called the natural change but that does not exist anymore in their eyes. a 300 year old period they keep banging on about because proper records do not go back any further is a pin prick to the length of time the earth has existed. you,ll find scientists who will disagree with this climate change propaganda but its not financially viable for them to come out to make their case as funding will be stopped straight off.

When Mr Starmer and his friends up the fuel duty, increase the road tax on fossil fuel vehicles and introduce the pay per mile system to fund their "Net Zero" agenda there will be a few sad faces wishing the hadn't voted for them!

I agree with most of the above, for me Climate Change is right up there with Santa Clause, The Tooth Fairy, the Loch Ness Monster and honest politicians. No doubt about it, the Met Office, the Beeb and other broadcasters do twist every weather event to suit their agenda. They go out of their way to provide coverage of bushfires, floods, droughts, extreme winds, tornadoes etc from anywhere in the world in support of the great Climate Change con. Stuff that has been going on since long before newspapers, Radio & TV broadcasts began is now treated as if it is big news and has never previously occurred.

I feel so sorry for the children of today who are bombarded by this propaganda on a daily basis and doubtless have it rammed into their eyes and ears at school too. Little wonder that children’s mental health is an increasing issue these days. I also feel for those CC believers who shell out hard earned cash on expensive battery operated cars, Green central heating boilers etc and/or refrain from taking foreign holidays in order to reduce their ‘carbon footprint’ etc. However it’s their prerogative to do this - their kids have no choice.

Climate change is set out for the weak minded and easy push overs.

Climate change is a natural progression of the Earth. It gets warm, warmer, hot, hotter then cool, cooler, freezing and then Ice age. It's the circle of life for our planet.

I enjoy the irony and hypocrisy of just stop oil/climate change fuckwits…holding their plastic banners, their backpacks (oil based) mobile phones, coats, camera’s the oil that brought them there…..If they ever got their way these doom mongers would have us living in caves like serfs in the Middle Ages because without oil our civilisation would collapse…try making a mobile phone out of a fecking parsnip and see what happens…they’re just a doomsday cult.

The s is very true Snowy, Humanity is a Carbon based life form. Plus I don't see these twats stood at the base of a Volcano protesting about the amount of Ash and Carbon coming out of its Mouth
I wish they did, as the Pyroclastic flow would change them forever. bbolt

You watch them at these demo’s…. the silver haired idealists who have never broken sweat in their smug air conditioned lives alongside the gormless cream of our pampered youth, with little real experience of anything lecturing the world with their finger wagging genius…… a marriage of the geriatric martyrs and youthful idiots leading us to a life of utilitarian restrictions and self sacrifice, in other words…no future.

they are the same types who years ago wanted us to ban the bomb and all other protest groups we have ever seen. all must have very good jobs to be allowed to be a near proffesional protester.

still would like to know what a painting has done wrong especially if the paint used was water based. do not know if these people should be pilloried or laughed at.

The biggest irony is that they all follow the messages given out by big money and msm rather than believing what's in front of their own eyes. There is no way in the world that this has actually been the hottest spring on record without manipulating the record or the measuring methodology.
Plus they choose to protest here when the biggest polluters are the US and Asia, why not choose to protest where it'll make the biggest difference instead of here if they're so f*cking smart?

I laugh when they show the colours on the map and exaggerate the colours to make you think it’s warmer than it is, all good old auto suggestion to put the wind up you.
Then you walk out the door and realise it’s a con job.
Let’s be honest, it keeps these people in a job of sorts, just plain and simple gobshites.

My dream is to see just stop oil protesters turn up in Beijing or Moscow and try and stop the traffic….better still North Korea….but there traffic is a bit scarce.

i do not really blame them for doing it as much as i blame so many who believe every single word they say. still keep hearing the words of it must be right because its on the tele. guess the germans pre war thought the same when they heard adolph and goeballs on their radios. its not the facts its the people who are saying their version of them that makes em believed or not generally.

Enjoyed the original post here. Measuring temperatures is a matter of science and very easy to do, with records going way back. But yeah, let's stick a finger in the air, go on gut instinct and ignore the boffins.

I just thank God I'm not in Sudan, Kuwait, India, Morocco, even Southern Europe... the list goes on and no wonder there is mass migration when it's a matter of life and death.

Seaton is reassuringly blowy though, so no need to worry.

‘Science’ can be tweeked to suit the prevailing wind of opinion…but when someone states we’ve experienced the warmest spring in the UK you have to believe your eyes.
Be aware the criteria for measuring temperature has changed recently.

there was a few hot days in early spring but thats been it. eventually had to get my gloves out dog walking, but they,ll use those good days as the period norm and not the colder ones. statistics have always been manipulated to suit an agenda people have. they can manipulate theirs and we can do the same with ours and they,ll all mean nowt in the end.

Bet we’re all looking forward to dumping our good old affordable gas boilers for Luke warm heat pumps that cost as much as a car. You get a choice of tepid or Luke warm…unless you boost it with electricity.
The widesceen will go next, replaced by community cave painting to replace wall paper so you can daub out your life after net zero.

Just off a meeting with a guy in Egypt as it happens. Hottest month of year there is July, which is usually around an average of 37 degree. He said it's 47 degrees out today.
People think global warming is bollocks and we're all fine here but complain about migration, which is going to be a bigger and bigger challenge for our kids. We're all a bunch of coffin dodgers though, so who cares, am I right?

If you’re off to meet a guy in Egypt you’d better get a spurt on….unless you meant Easington.

Climate change has happened since the earth was created. I think everyone agrees on that. Wether it's natural phenomenon or man made is anyone's guess. But I'd stake my life on the fact that May and Spring have not been the hottest on record in County Durham.

Climate changers are a lot like Vegans.
Both believe in their obsession and are not interested in live and let live, but want YOU to conform to their viewpoint without compromise, if you don’t share their opinion you are either stupid or the Devil incarnate.

But tomorrow could be a cool 30°c in fact the next few weeks could be 30°c bbolt

For the record climate change is a massive con. Design to tax the poor and make the rich richer. :angry-tappingfoot:

There is an absolute certainty in this life and that is those who refer to others as coffin dodgers will, without any shadow of a doubt, become members of that illustrious category themselves one day.

Absolutely and I hope none of us have to suffer too much along the way. We’re lucky to live where we do.

I always refer back to the relatively recent ( in archaeological terms) end of the Ice Age….. can’t have been mankind but it just happened.

makes it worse when you realise they base the temperatures and climate on the period they called the norm between 1961 and 1990. those old enough to remember those years can remember a few really cold and snowy winters plus the cool wet summers that were the death knell for british summer holiday resorts.

The coldest start to June in decades however is according to leading meteorologists natural weather variation - so man made climate emergency sometimes and natural weather variation at others. And they say these things with a straight face.

Over the years there has been loads of diet recommendations, don’t eat this don’t eat that bad for you but for me everything in moderation. The young uns of today are eating all sorts of processed food, McDonalds, KFC, kebabs, etc, Chinese meals full of Monosodium glutamate (MSG) a flavour enhancer, it is listed on some chilled/frozen food as 621, opinion vary about wether it’s bad for you.

My father didn’t drink or smoke died of a heart attack aged 80, my ex father in law smoked out every night in the Boilermakers died of a heart attack similar age, he was a lagger.

Jamie, you are so correct. Comparing foods online one set of ‘experts’ will rubbish it and another ‘expert’ will sing it’s praises….there seems to be agreement on anything.
The consumption of processed shite must be phenomenal amongst those under 30…

I think climate change is real and human influence a big part of it BUT there are way more unknowns to it than the politicians claim,
Also we need energy etc to raise quality of life, money where it’s invested should be in adaption to it as oppose to trying to reverse fossil fuel use and lowering quality of life which is unrealistic

If its influenced by us then surely the whole world would be putting huge pressure on the biggest polluters on the planet to reduce emissions. The UK is a tiny part of the worlds polluters and population, and according to news reports this week our emissions are 50% down on what they were 20 years ago so hardly making a difference are we?
Wasn't there a hole in the ozone layer a few years back that was going to cause vast areas of the UK to be underwater by now?

Silly boy, it’s called the summer…we sold our time share in Shotton for a place in Greenland.

There's a few scientific studies which estimate that Greenland was ice free over 400,000 years ago. Surely not caused by cars, domestic boilers, aeroplanes etc

One funny point…electric aircraft, it’s being done , but such an aircraft would mean it being propellor driven which would seriously extend the time of flights by almost doubling them , thus increasing the propulsive power required, which would then reduce the payload.
Less passengers, double the journey time. Progress?
