Absolutely baffling decision if the journalists are right.
Top 16 of the National League (-promoted clubs but + relegated clubs from League 2) and the Top 16 Prem U21 teams in a format similar to the Papa Johns Trophy. Can't see how this brings any money to the clubs unless they get paid a fair wedge for taking part?

So basically the top 16 finish from the last season obviously minus the winners and promo winners which will be replaced by the 2 teams coming down from the League. So they automatically get in due to their shite inability to stay in the league. I just hope the Prem U21 Home fixtures are actually played in either their ground (which lets face it wont happen) or one of their incredible training facilities and not just 2 home games for the NL side or even worse which ever league club closest to said prem club wants to rent out their ground mid week for a daft new cup. Is this due to start this season meaning Pools have another cup to play in ? Ideally the owners of said cup and sponsors dish out some healthy money to the top 14 NL teams that have qualified for this cup. It would give those on the cusp something to battle for and make mid table that little more exciting knowing a cup competition place is at stake with a healthy benefit of cash and winning it for more cash etc ! Needs to really have a decent incentive - this may be the prem and FA finally realising how much the NL gets shit on and underfunded by them!

Apparently National League clubs not taking part get the same participation money as those who are, with the added bonus of less fixtures.

with a big hope that fans have zero interest and the fewer that do attend the happier i,d be. will be too late if fans show interest and another deal comes out allowing B teams into our league and are allowed promotion to make our task harder in the future. once the bastards are in the money will talk where they,ll allow em in the league.

Cant see many being interested in this, bad enough being torn to shreds by the first team, now we get the pleasure of being ripped to shreds at some training complex.

Make it the Pink Slip Racing Cup so if you beat the Prem U21 team you take their place in the Prem for the rest of the season (inc tv revenue)

If we get to the final it will be at Bristol, Cardiff or somewhere else that is an absolute ballache to get to.

If we don't get to the final it's guaranteed to be at Wembley!!

Another waste of a weekday night in winter for little reward on the pitch or in the pocket.
Where’s the final at …the ‘Droitwich Thunderdome and speedway circuit’….?

a draw between the finalists where the winner gets the chance of playing it on a local rec.

there will be some who for reasons of their own they do not want to miss a match. actually you can find out which club has the thickest fans by working out who gets the highest percentage of fans from a league game who get conned attending this type of farce.

just organise a behind closed door friendly game with other clubs where both sides can make any number of subs they wish, the time the game lasts without the need to comply with competition rules or the expense of stewards, floodlights and the rest of things needed for a competitive game with fans.

I cant think of anything worse than getting excited over some kids on about 10k a week, most up their own arses battering a non mobile midfield infront of 600 fans. Creeping in more and more this under 21 shit, what next a token womans team thrown in?

do not joke as it might give em another stupid idea only slightly worse than most stuff that has been brought into the game over they years that fans who are not with us anymore would be turning in their graves now.

Behind closed doors would be rough if what they say about Sarll,s training is owt to go by.

A sweetener for the lack of FA cup replays probably.
What will they do to appease those who aren’t involved though such as lower down the pyramid?

and far less for the adult grassroots game even at County FA Level. they class the Northern League or NW Counties as that but cannot shut up about kids football especially the girls.

Give them a few years and it’ll be non contact game with a 50/50 male and female mix on the pitch.
Keepers would be sex optional, although we could allow trans keepers.

when you have the words excessive force in the laws of the game you know where its heading. was always told that to avoid being injured yourself go in as hard as you can. funny that in the old days when players went in like that fairly there were less injuries than now.
