Well the oven is hot and the trays are greased and ready. Now let's see what kind of filling the chef uses for our Yorkshire puddings. If the mixture is spot on and made from good quality products the puddings will rise quickly and stay high. However if the mixture is poor and made from left overs the puddings will be flat and will not rise at all. In the first sinaro the customers will be delighted with the chef and return to the restaurant in anticipation. In the second sinaro the customers will demand the chef is fired at once, then tell him to get out of that kitchen out of the town and never return.

Good attempt at the foody analogy but I'm betting Snowy will have something better on his usual nautical theme??

Obviously it looks like we will be bring in up to 8 or 9 players at least but you have to be realistic not all will be a success. As I have said any times if you sign 5 or 6 free transfer you will be lucky to get 3 successes.

Sorry, but you need to refer to them in Yorkshire pudding terms on this topic.
Something like….We need 8 or 9 Yorkshire puddings for Sunday but you have to be realistic about it and also make a big one….. some may not rise and to avoid disappointment a batch of dumplings are a handy standby for a successful Sunday Dinner…happy to help, never mentioned a gravy boat once. bbolt

I use the M&S Yorkshires that are made with beef dripping.
Guaranteed to give you a rise

They are the devils work, like their desirable dumplings…what are they putting in them to give you a rise…is it embarrassing when you stand up from the table. :ugeek:

but find they look nice and crispy from the outside but once cutting into them you find they have a soggy middle.
