Both flying at just the right time in the season. Both winning tonight and Donny at this moment are now 6th. Bradford now 8th and winning away to Barrow. What a bad time for Barrow six games no wins slipping away. Crawley also slipping away that pleases me after the way they went on last season. It will be interesting if both Donny & Bradford qualify for the playoffs because both are the late runners and pretty sure one of them will win them.

Doncaster near the bottom in January.
Suppose the cream rises to the top with class players like Sterry n Mols.

Sterry missed the first half of the season, his return has helped them massively.

Both of them playing superb. Donny have now won the last 10 games and are scoring for fun. Funny Stockport won 11 league games in a row. Memories Kev Memories banghead

Bradford likely to just miss out but Doncaster will take some stopping

Interesting who their regular right back has been on this run, a player many on here said we wouldn’t miss, and seaman was a more than adequate replacement for !

I reckon Barrow who are now 7th ( 68 pts ) will lose at home to Mansfield and slip out of the last place. Barrow have not won in 6 games ( lost 5 drawn 1) Last win was end March, they have scored 5 conceded 12. Mansfield won 4 in a row and keep on winning even after promotion was gained. Then Crawley 8th ( 67pts ) home to Grimsby and should win. Then Bradford 9th ( 66pts) home to Newport and should win. I don’t see a Barrow win and they need to win. Crawley look the most likely but if they fail it opens the door for Bradford. After another brilliant season punching well above there weight Barrow have imploded. At the bottom Colchester 22nd (44pts) home to Crewe and a game Crewe need to win to make the playoffs certain. I watched the Colchester game its clear they have zero confidence. No way do I see anything but a Crewe victory. Sutton 23rd ( 41pts ) away to MKD ( are 4th will finish 4th regardless of any results) a game that the Don's will rest the majority of players. I see a win here for Sutton who have lost 1 game drawn 2 games and won 4 games out the last 7 games. The problem is Colchester have a + 4 goals over Sutton. So for Sutton to survive they need to win say 2-0 and hope Colchester lose by 3 goals. That would get them the five goal swing that's needed to survive. If Sutton won say 2-0 and Colchester lost say 2-0 then Sutton would be relegated because Colchester have scored more goals over the season despite the equal goal difference. It would be a Ronnie Moore great escape but it's well achievable. Can you tell I am bored shitless

Waiting for Twaddle to tell us Barrow success is down to them being secretly funded by Geoff Bezos!

Suspect it is down to local businesses pulling together and investing in a half decent manager.
Has been sadly lacking here.
Take a look at who is involved.
I couldn't give a shit tbh...and honestly can't be arsed..especially with mugs like you.
A one sentence wonder.
Get back to me when you can link a few together.
Doubt it will ever happen tbh given your history.
Let's see.
Try a paragraph Mr loyal T.V fan?

think a few more injured players have come back at the right time and hit lucky in the january transfer window. with a bit of luck they,ll go up and not offer mols and sterry new contracts if their present ones have run out and they are longing for a return to the vic.

Plenty of people on here lost patience with Jamie Sterry last season because of his injury record. I'm pretty sure you were one of them Mr. Accy  No doubt a load of Donny fans felt the same way till his current run in the side.

It's a tough one really - when he plays he's always a class above, but that's no comfort when he's missing. If he hadn't missed 20 league games last season would Pools have stayed up? The margin was only 4 points so yes, I think we probably would have.

Fully fit Sterry in form is a Championship level player. Injuries have always been his problem.

yes i was one as it seemed one injury after another and never really looked the same when he came back later on. its just it was one injury prone or unavailable player after another that got me down and it made it worse losing somebody who was good. we might have stayed up in the same way we might have reached a top play off position if mancini and dodds were not injured and mani d being out once umerah got crocked and askey would still be our manager.

You are right about the Donny fans regarding Sterry. Waste of space, can't stop crosses, sick note and isn't tall enough were amongst their favourite criticisms. It's only this season that they have started playing Mols in the role he played for us. They took him on because of those performances with us but then didn't continue with it until now. Strange but it's turned out well.

i can hear em moaning now. they,d be quicker on the phone to the samarantans when things go wrong quicker than us. expect em to be going OTT now though especially if they do manage to go up. do radio sheffield still do that post match praise or grumble as i never heard much praise on it.

Sterry is a classic example of how good players amplify each other , he’s an excellent player at league 2 level, put him with with decent players and it shows, surround him with shite as Hartley did and his standard understandably drops

No surprise seaman looked a good player going fwd when
He had dodds and Mancini to link with, am hopeful those two being fit helps
Some of the others also, eg Aygemang if we get him
Back, him and dodds engines and Mancini knitting together is almost enough
To make me optimistic

Sterry announced he was leaving as soon as relegation was confirmed, didn't have the stomach for another spell in NL so was never going to stay.
Molyneux got a better offer and took it as he was entitled to do, if we couldn't or wouldn't match the offer then that's it. Raj did his best to keep DC by giving him a new contract which the guy publicly announced he was very pleased to sign and then moved on for more money before the ink was dry. Players negotiate the best for themselves and that's football. If we have a budget we have to work within it, we'll pay more than some and so.e will pay more than us.

Not quite his best though was it. We've been notoriously crap at contract renewal. The buffoons that Raj appointed were turbo crap at it. DC's first offer of a contract was offensively poor. Raj had to try again. The whole process was dragged out in public. Its an area where improvement is desperately needed. Perhaps it will come.

I don't listen to local radio Mr Accy so I can't help you there but they are a bunch of whingers at Donny. They think they should be in the championship but when they got there their whinging increased as they couldn't cope. Fans everywhere are never satisfied. Rotherham are coming down again but they've just re appointed Steve Evans and, to them, he is the Messiah. Wednesday just might stave off relegation to league one but they consider themselves a premiership outfit. Sheff Utd are relegated again. This area is full of whingers at the moment. On top of all that there are the whingers on here. Can't seem to get away from perennial whingers.
Funny, with Durham sitting second top in Div one of the championship whilst Yorkshire are languishing in Div two, I don't get much patter or banter about cricket these days.

Durham second top? I wish! Not after 1 win, 1 draw and 1 total 4 day wash out - was still the monsoon season at C-L-S in early April. Thanks ECB, what a surprise banghead

if they are not whinging they are so bloody arrogant. they even have a hotline to god because he must have told them it was his own county. must be the only county in the country that are regarded as professional yorkshiremen that you never hear from anyone from other counties.

Regarding Doncaster.
Seen a post on Facebook that a punter wins 10grand if Donny finish in top 7.
Offered 4grand cash out.
Hope he wins the 10k.
Nice to see the bookies taking a little hit.

they make up for it easily with pools fans and ones from other clubs who will be closer to the bottom than the top betting on their side to win promotion. like betting on a three legged horse to win a race.

Met a donny fan once thought they were sonething special, looking down thier noses at clubs like pools, im sure when they used to play at bell vue they played in a ramshackle of a ground where no one was bothered bout them. Even now the new ground is a souless bowl devoid of any sort of atmosphere.

actually used to go to belle vue as her in the kitchen had a soft spot for rovers. once they moved to the keepmoat she thankfully lost interest with the poor atmosphere and more fans as well inside the ground. so many steps as well to get to your seat unless you sat in the front 6 rows and got wet in the rain. then the catering went from cheap, chearful and edible to expensive stuff that tasted as if it was manufactured by someone who hated football fans.

it will count for little though if they do not get promotion. its fine for any club who get into the play offs but thats where the work really starts, and a bounce of the ball or a refs mistake can cost you promotion.

if they,d have been owned by raj they,d have still been 3rd bottom at the end of the season but with 2 new managers coming in between early feb and now. shows what a bit of patience can do. give yourself 250 lines mr.singh by writing, i need to have more patience.
