Simple, they have a dog that’s the result of a donkey having a one night stand with a coyote with special needs and a nasty bark…..so I let Ratboy out and immediately next doors starts barking, it always barks first then he responds…. then it goes ape shit but Ratboy never responds anymore and I leave to lay on his back on the grass.

Not as much as those repetetive dance anthems,…..’music’ for the pissed, out of their mind on Biffo gas or drugged up to the eyeballs to ‘dance’ to.

its annoying but all dogs bark as its natural for them to do so. far different from anybody not deaf playing music all day that you can hear easily. never can understand why people need to listen to music that is loud anyway or need to have music anyway for that matter.

Dogs bark, it’s instinct…shit music when the sun shines isn’t.
I love my music and my headphones, I have no wish to share my music.
At one place where I worked alone, a boiler room, one stranger who came in asked me as I was by myself why there was no music.. I didn’t even bother to reply.

yes, its your music that only you can hear. this music thing got so bad we had a trial with a bloody bus chucking out permanent music but fortunetly the complaints were far greater than those who liked it and was quickly dropped. i,d have guessed even if i was the vehicle DJ i,d have got fed up of listening to my tunes in the end. for those who watch game shows i wonder if anyone has noticed that bloody wimmen cannot keep still when a music question is asked and they play something but men just stand still.

Every time it's really sunny and we're sat in the garden my near neighbour starts using power tools. The noise is horrendous.

You'd think he has something against sunny days. banghead

Mr A you want to live in a house and the dog barks all day as soon as the owners go to work. They were shift workers and being woken up at 5am and even having to contact owner (police officer) at 2am to come home and settle dog. Oh and by the way that’s exactly what they said “dogs bark”

Our next door neighbours dog barks, ours don’t, theirs was so aggressive the grandkids wouldn’t go in the garden as it charged the fence…when we got Ratboy, one unexpected bonus was he responded and the barking ceased…all dogs are different…sadly so are all owners, but you can train dogs, however a minority of owners are another matter, being either thick or lazy.

After the council letter my neighbours made arrangements for a relative to take the dog whenever they were at work. They did eventually move and some time later I bumped into the relative who looked after the dog and he told me the dog had died of a heart attack. Oh what a pity I was so upset.

all dogs are different as are there owners. i have always got out of my pit early enough to take mine out for a long walk and provide their meal when i get back. all they do is eat and fall asleep for hours on end and are covinced if a stranger broke in they,d carry on sleeping. its back to basics really that some people just should not have a dog.

My neighbours had dogs previously without any problems it was just this particular dog. It was a boxer which I have been told need company. I still believe it can be a problem when dogs are left on there own all day when the owners out at work.

Just to add to the above I presume Mr A and snowy are retired and have plenty of time to give to their dogs. I always remember when I retired someone said to me ‘get a dog’

i am retired but took dog owning seriously when i was working. always worked late shifts when i could but on the occasions i could not i always got up at some silly o clock to take the dog out even if they were as keen as i was getting up early. on top of retiring and getting a dog i have also found they are very good for talking to women and taking that a step further if you are both in favour of it. at least you have something in common to start off with and is cheaper than plying them with food and drink before they blow you out.

Always had dogs but work made it impractical and cruel to leave a dog unattended so we never had one for quite a few years…but the wife told me I needed a dog when I finally escaped….I disagreed, but she introduced me to Ratboy and I hit it off immediately, surprised myself, and he’s a terrible terrier who just follows me around, what the Yanks call a ‘Yard Dog’…then we decided he needed company and got Ruby.. if you like dog’s great, if it’s not for you, don’t bother.
You get a routine you can’t avoid…luckily ours were trained at the ‘School of Hard Knocks’….and their house training is immaculate,

Good for you Snowy, I’m not anti dogs, and they are a great comfort to many people but like you I think it is cruel to leave them unattended all day.
